We are a Time Share Resort that is family oriented. Friday check in's are across the street from the ocean with elevator access available in early 2014. These are two bedroom units. Saturday and Sunday check in's are oceanside and oceanfront with elevator access. One and three bedroom units on the oceanfront have elevators. Oceanside do not. There are two outdoor pools with hot tubs and one heated indoor pool with hot tub. We have shuffle board and tennis courts. Free wifi in the clubhouse and a free computer if needed. We offer free day passes to the local YMCA only two miles away. Plenty of activities daily for adults and children. We have beautiful beaches with spectacular views. Great local attractions very close to the resort. We have wheel chair access on our beach boardwalks with a large gazebo and viewing decks. We have 24 hour security and offer help with luggage especially for units without elevators via our luggage lifts.

From my first call to the result, the staff was friendly and helpful. Having the 3rd floor oceanfront Penthouse was a dream. The elevator made living our crafting items a breeze. They even had hotel rolling carts next to the elevators. The room was totally clean and everything

We thought we won’t be doing much around this time of the year. To our amaze, the resort is in a convenient location close to Jockey’s Ridges, Wrighter Brother Museum and Jenette’s Pier...etc. We had so a lot of fun!The unit is spacious! We love the updated jacuzzi in the

cleanest condo ever. Great view of the ocean. UP to date furniture and appliances. Only issue was off season there were very few restaurants and attractions open. Had a wonderful stay. Would definitely go back.

Went for a family winter holiday, expected a bit more produced in the way of amenities ie; an on-site exersize facility. Over all not bad as long as you don’t go expecting a top-rated stay. Generally very average and non-memorable. Scenery was beautiful and our unit was a stones

Are there elevators in the buildings to the rooms?
yes, all buildings have elevators. To make sure, find your unit and call and ask them.

Do these rooms all have separate balconies?
It does vary. OBBC II on beach side have at least one small private balcony on bedroom side. Oceanfront balconies may be common access to one other unit. OBBC I units have shared, common access but limited traffic to only one or two other units.

We have gone during all seasons and always find plenty to do. There is an indoor pool, shopping, Wright Brothers Museum, Aquarium, great restaurants and activities the Beach Club has.

There are high dunes between the buildings and the beach. Consequently, you have to go over them. You can get to the walkway over the dunes via elevator; the walkway also goes to a small pavilion from which you can view the beach. But to get onto the beach itself you have to go down the stairs from the dune (maybe 8), unfortunately. There is a public beach access between OBBC complexes I and II; maybe there is direct access there; I don't know. Other than the beach itself, all units now have elevator access. If you get a third floor oceanfront 3 BR unit, or a 2nd or 3rd floor oceanfront 2 BR unit, you have a superb view from the unit's deck, if that's any consolation. It really is a very nice complex, and the 3 BRs are extremely spacious.

Availability narrows down choices a whole lot but I'd suggest calling the resort directly for the best answer.

"Bring your own shampoo and ask for extra paper towels!"
"Get a unit with a view of the ocean. "
"Beach Front Units are Awesome--This time we were in OBX Beach Club II in the second row--still just a few steps from the beach."
"central condo for beach access but nearer to pool (noise). Upper floors of ocean-front rooms have great view but first floor blocked by dune"
"Beach Club II is across the street from the pools, and was very quiet. If you have kids you might prefer to be on the livelier side."
