Upon check in, front desk was great! Allowed us to check in early. Upon entering our room, stong urine smell slapped you in the face. Horrible smell. I began spraying Febreeze to get the smell out. Nope, didnt help. Went to daughter's high school graduation, came back and smell was just as bad or worse. Nighttime clerk (not housekeeping) came and sprayed room that helped over night, never took smell out. Beds were extremely horrible. Nothing we did there helped. Needless to say, o rest came for us while there. And, unable to switch our room due to being completely booked!

The hotel is very comfortable and cozy! Staff is friendly. In a good location. Close to shopping and food. Rooms were always kept clean everyday and staff was willing to get you whatever you needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I personally will be staying again!

To begin this is in no way a review against the front desk staff. It is simply a review of the facility and it’s accommodations. For starters, the entrance is smeared by the smell of smoke and those who do so maybe 3-5 yards from the entrance of the hotel. For those who don’t smoke this is extremely distasteful. Upon entering our room the distinct smell of mildew/mold was overwhelming. The carpet was so nasty my family had to keep our shoes on. You could just feel the grime on the bottom your feet. There were holes in the walls from what appeared to be old mounting areas for pictures or fixtures. The toilet paper dispenser was broken and barely hanging on by a thread of a screw. The sink never drained until it hit the overflow hole and had filth coming out from the drain. We were graciously allowed to switch rooms into a bigger room by the front desk agent. This room smelled equally of mildew and mold, but was 80% better than the previous room. The drink vending machine wouldn’t work either and I notified the MOD. I understand that I was given the Military Rate and I am grateful, however I could’ve paid full price at the surrounding hotels and gotten twice the comfort.

I would like to apologize on behalf of my entire team that your stay was less than excellent and comfortable. We are planning on remodeling the hotel before the end of the year, and do hope that you will give us another chance after the remodel to show you just what Sleep Inn & Suites are made of. Average hotel room. Rooms are basic and clean without character or warmth. Breakfast was good. The location is perfect and is obviously the reason for the cost. It's on the main street in Jacksonville with tons of restaurants, shopping, banking. It's a very short drive to Camp Lejeune using the bypass. I recommend it strictly for convenience.
