Great experience! The Inn and grounds are beautiful, service was great and we enjoyed breakfast on the porch each morning. It was nice to just walk to downtown and to the Hot Springs Resort. We are looking forward to a return visit. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful old Victorian house this is your place.

Karen Nagle, the owner is lacking in integrity and professionalism. She canceled all the bookings after April when she decided to sell her property, despite telling her future guests/brides (with reservations and paid deposits) she would honor their bookings if she sold her property. In the email announcing this information there was no apology, remorse, or consideration for her actions. She showed zero empathy for those she caused great distress and only disclosed her personal excuses for going back on her word. I would not give her your business, time, or trust. She is not dependable or the least bit kind/sympathetic.

We have always loved Hot Springs and the Mountain Magnolia Inn. We’ve been here several times over the past 15 years. I wonder if it’s under new management because this time we were underwhelmed. The view from the Buckeye or Rose Room is second to none though! Unfortunately, we were in the Walnut this trip. Changes we noted: No more dinners (which were fantastic btw) Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. Server was rushed, not outgoing, and barely polite until when we left. We had bugs in our room (see pic) and when I mentioned it to the Innkeeper the next morning, rather than apologizing and just validating me (as one does in the customer service industry) it was as if she dismissed me and said something like “when you’re in the mountains that’s what you deal with”. News flash Innkeeper: this was not close to my first time in the mountains. My husband and I are pretty avid hikers. I wasn’t asking for money or a discount, I was sharing how creeped out I was! Anyway—Hot Springs is an awesome little town and we will return, but I guess we’ll head back up to one of the treehouse cabins or another B & B next time.

Response from marion Griffin, Innkeeper at Mountain Magnolia Inn

Stacey, I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay and that we did not meet your expectations. We take our guest hospitality to heart, especially when we miss an opportunity to make our guest as happy as chosen family! It sounds as though we were off our game. Also, I'm sorry for the response you received when telling us about the stink bugs. Unfortunately they try to take up residence with us this time of year, so we are always on the lookout for them with a vacuum in hand. We are under the same management as the same family has owned the Inn for over 21 years and most of the staff have been here for well over 5 years. Our goals are hospitality, comfort, a clean and relaxing environment, and a great breakfast We hope you will come again to stay with us in the future.

Hot Springs was our destination because we went to the hot tubs in town. We chose this b n b because of location. The property is amazing. Close to town and plenty of places to hang out and walk the property. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We were in miss peggies suite. 2 rooms a living room and we shared a bathroom. It was awesome. I was concerned about sharing a bathroom. It was perfect. Breakfast was great and the house is appointed with everything you would want and need for an enjoyable time.
