Just far enough out of town to get away from the tourist confusion. The setting was inspiring as was the service, We stayed at the Inn, but conversations with guests that had the cottages said they were interesting. We had a very small issue with our room, but it was taken care of right away. Breakfast was excellent. A few...

Visited Old Edwards Falls Cottages in April for my birthday. Read a lot about Half Mile Farm, so we returned early August to celebrate my mothers 72 Birthday! This time, unplugging from the daily grind of life (sporadic cell service is a PLUS!!) and staying out at Half Mile Farm. We arrived during happy hour, a beautiful spread of app...

Half-Mile Farm, like Highlands itself, is a charming blend of rustic mountain surroundings and upscale amenities. We spent two nights in the Blacksmith Shop Cabin. The cabin was very roomy, extremely clean, and quite comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace; I told my husband that I would have a fire all the time if all it took was a push...

It sounds like you had a delightful stay in one of our cabins, and we are so happy to hear the details of your visit. It is a magical and serene property, and the bath experience in the cabins is irresistible! You definitely need to come around for social hour on your next visit, as the food is a few...

We stayed in one of the cabins, Elizabeth. Not being in the main house/courtyard, we were not ignored. Welcome turn down service and curtains adjusted for evening-cookies on pillows. The room, while rustic, had all the necessities, including a jetted tub and flat screen tv. Wifi is included, but cell service in not good at all. To remedy this, management...

What a really nice, relaxing stay at Half-Mile Farm. We had stayed there years ago before Old Edwards bought it and enjoyed it very much. Now, Old Edwards has added to that by stepping up every aspect to a higher level. We felt totally pampered. The room was top notch with a very comfortable bed, the grounds were beautiful, and...

We are happy that you found rest and relaxation at Half-Mile Farm. Yes, the mountains can be a bit tricky with the GPS. We will share your nice comments about breakfast with Chef Jason. It sounds like you had an enjoyable experience with us at Half-Mile Farm, and we appreciate your posting about it on TripAdvisor. Yes, it's a funny conundrum about a getaway that it takes you a while to slow down, but the lake and relaxed pace at Half-Mile Farm help make the transition a little quicker. We will pass your compliments...

Beautiful little place out in the middle of nowhere! The landscaping was beautiful and the rooms were very pretty and rustic. Here's our list of pros and cons... Cons: Mattress wasn't very comfortable, AC is a wall unit and we could never get the room very cool, window...

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Half-Mile Farm, including the food at breakfast and social hour which always seems to be a guest favorite (thank you, Chef Jason!). It is true that a three-minute drive into Highlands can seem like a long way since many of the inns are located right in the downtown area. Guests...

For guests of age 18 and over, Half-Mile Farm is that place where you relax as soon as you drive onto the property. A hilly expanse of green lawn welcomes you, and the main historic farmhouse reveals itself at the crest. Along the drive, Apple Lake glistens and offers canoes along its shore for guests to enjoy a soothing paddle. A chef-prepared breakfast begins each day for every guest, and evenings bring complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine and soft beverages to enjoy with other guests or to take to your own little corner of the farm.
