Fire Mountain is an amazing place! I hesitate to tell you how wonderful this place is as I do not want it to get so popular that we won't be able to get a reservation in the future! My husband and I have chosen it as a getaway for 6 or 7 times now, and we want you to have... More

We LOVED our time at Fire Mountain Inn! Such a beautiful place and the food was INCREDIBLE!!! The best breakfast I have ever had. We also had dinner there one night and it was fabulous, well worth the cost. The weather was perfect - highs in the 70's and no humidity - in July!!! Can't wait to go back.

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon in the Cloud Climber room at the inn and had an amazing time while there. The food was amazing every single morning, it was skillfully prepared while also simple and delicious. We also ate dinner a few nights while staying at Fire Mountain and felt that the meals prepared here were better than... More

This is a special place. Beautiful surroundings, lovely accommodations, gracious and helpful hosts. We weren't surprised to learn that Hiram and Matthew have been doing this for 20 years; their experience shows through in the graceful way they run the Inn. We stayed in the spacious and sun-filled Satohla Suite in the Inn, with terrific views of the valley to... More

My husband and I spent two nights at this amazing inn for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, I was astounded at the hospitality of Matthew and Hiram! They sat us down and gave us the "run-down" of the area. So amazingly helpful! We very much enjoyed chatting with them over breakfast about our plans for the day. Yet,... More

We've gone to Fire Mountain twice now. We had a great time on our first visit, and an even better time last weekend. We've stayed in a treehouse and in the inn (Satohla, an amazing room); both are great, just depends what you're in the mood for. The setting is awesome, the clean air and quiet is a great break... Matthew and Hiram have an outstanding operation. We stayed in one of the tree house suites which was very private. Breakfast was a touch fancy, but not ruined by being too overboard. It was just right! Sometimes I think B and B's just try too hard when you just want a hearty and fresh breakfast. As far as it being... More

My husband and I spent spent two nights in the town Highlands, but we also wanted to stay outside of town to chill out. We were extremely pleased with our stay at Fire Mountain and would highly recommend! The owners were very kind and great hosts. Attentive to our needs but left us alone. They gave us great recommendations for everything... More

My husband and I recently returned for a long weekend to our favorite getaway at Fire Mountain. Mother's Day, our anniversary and my birthday are always within the same week. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than to spend it in these lovely surroundings. We love the simple elegance of the accommodations, the peaceful atmosphere and the... More

We decided to go to highlands for the weekend and I was looking for scenic, yet upscale, accommodations and so I choose fire mountain. The view was lovely and the breakfast was very nice. But the negatives includes the distance from Highland (driving the windy roads) , and also the room We stayed in the sassafras room and the private porch... More

We appreciate Rosie taking the time to share her experience at Fire Mountain. We are very pleased that she felt that her view from her accommodation was lovely and that the breakfast was very nice. When Rosie arrived at Fire Mountain she was in a state of shock as she indicated that she had never visited the mountains before, had... More
