This is our second time at the Colonial Pines Inn. Donna is a gracious hostess and excellent cook. We love spending time out in the wrap-around porch reading and watching the birds. Stayed 5 nights in the "Bargain Basement" room, which is in a separate building from the main house. Although the bathroom is small (tight shower, generally small space),... More

We felt like we were among friends. Lots of photos ops. Ten degrees cooler than home, so take a jacket even if it's hot in the city. Fresh baked goods and treats every day. Quiet and peaceful. We'll definitely go back.

Had a great, comfortable room with a terrific bed and bath. Nice guests, mostly "alumni" from previous visits. Donna and Chris keep it spotless, and the atmosphere is always relaxing. Donna's cooking is unbeatable and they have great suggestions for seeing the mountain at its best. There's nothing quite like that big front porch with a cool breeze. I give... More

Just spent 3 wonderful nights here at Colonial Pines Inn on Jun 29, 2015. The room is very spacious with attached bathroom and walk in closet. Nicely decorated and cozy. I enjoyed being out on the wrap around porch on the swing listening to the birds and watching the chipmunks run around. I was lucky to have nice cool weather... More

Our hosts, Donna and Chris aim to please, and they sure hit the mark! The accommodations, inside and out, are charming, inviting, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. All the linens, from bed to bath are first quality. The breakfasts are fabulous! The attention to detail is wonderful, Every comfort has been provided, and I am hard to please! I probably shouldn't... More

We have stayed in the Colonial Pines Inn many times and it is consistently the perfect getaway. Donna and Chris are great innkeepers, seeing to every need without hovering. The Inn is immaculately clean. Breakfasts are delicious and beautifully served inside or out, weather permitting. The porch and grounds invite you to take a drink out, relax, and breath the... More

Colonial Pines Inn has every comfort. Charming innkeepers, delicious food, beautiful surroundings and an awesome front porch swing. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had access to a fridge and snacks which is always nice when traveling. The inn is very close to downtown. The innkeepers shared their expert advice of the area with us and made... More

Chris and Donna could not be better hosts. Everything is peaceful and relaxing - and I think our room must be the cleanest we've ever occupied! From sherry on the porch in the evenings (with a view of the valley), to the delicious breakfasts, Colonial Pines is a wonderful place to stay. Donna also offers some fantastic skin lotions and... Donna and Chris are fantastic hosts. We stayed here for the weekend as a short honeymoon getaway. It was perfect! The accommodations are superb. Out room was more than comfortable, quiet, and peaceful. Breakfast is delicious, and Donna was more than happy to provide gluten free options. Her buckwheat muffins are divine! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We will... More

Perfect romantic get away spot. The Inn had the most delicious breakfast and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed chatting with the owners each morning and meeting the other guests. Cozy fire each night in the living room and wonderful bedtime snacks!
