Property's Favorite Review
Friends told of about this B & B, and that it was wonderful. We decided to try it, and stayed in one of the rooms in the old portion of the inn. for two nights. It is quaint, but has all appropriate amenities, including good WiFi, but it is really a place for disconnecting from instant communication; a place to relax and unwind. It is well maintained, with excellent home-made breakfasts (the blueberry french toast was really delicious). The common lounge is stocked with books to read, games to play, binoculars to watch birds and wildlife, and information about the general area. The hosts are gracious, and it is owned and run by a multi-generational family. We enjoyed borrowing the scrabble game, sitting on the porch playing and sipping wine as the sun slowly set one evening; something we hadn't done in quite some time. There are many good restaurants down the mountain in Hendersonville, and many interesting shops to browse as well. We will return another tie for a longer stay.

My family visited Echo Mountain Inn for a quiet New Years Eve. It is a beautiful inn, very nicely restored. The rooms were nice and comfortable and the breakfast was good. However, we were very concerned about the office staff not wearing masks. In a time of record high Covid numbers, this was very alarming. I was already nervous about going, so called ahead to find out what procedures were in place. My call was never returned. The people at the restaurant had a mask and most of the guests did also. Just beware if you are concerned about Covid, that you should check before going. We’ve visited before Covid and know the family to be very nice and great hosts, so this surprised me even more that they chose not to respect the health of their guests. I didn’t address my concerns at the time because our stay was so short. I tried to send them an email, but there was a problem getting the message to go through.

Harriette, I'm sad you would use a review platform for face-mask shaming, especially without talking to us. We do have a couple staff who have medical exemptions. Our primary front desk person was in contact with someone who had Covid a few weeks back, so she went to get tested, was negative, but still waited for a time before coming back to work. We take the health and wellness of our guests very seriously. One of our owners/staff is a registered nurse and another is a natural health professional focused on personal wellness. As you mentioned, all the staff you'd be in close contact with from the kitchen or serving food are wearing masks. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay. I wish we could have talked before writing the poor review. I hope you have a great New Year.

My Wife and I booked room 204 at beautiful Echo Inn on December 24th. Driving from coastal South Carolina forecast indicated a chance of snow in the NC central mountains. Upon arrival, we found the Inn decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. The owners greeted us and as in past visits made us feel welcome. The view of downtown Hendersonville from our window was beautiful as darkness fell. Around 8:30 it began to snow and by 9:00 everything was snow covered. The owners brought wood for a fire in the fireplace in our room. It was was such a wonderful experience and made Christmas Eve one of the most wonderful since our children were small many years ago. Christmas morning we were treated to a complimentary breakfast of eggs, sausage and, pastries in the large dining room prior to our departure. We hope to return for another visit soon as our night was one we will long remember,

Thank you for leaving such a lovely review -- you painted a truly beautiful Christmas Eve picture with your words. The Hallmark Channel might be calling any day now in search of securing movie rights! In all seriousness, the Christmas season is so special to us here and we are so grateful you chose to spend your day with us. We look forward to having you return!

We arrived early evening and were greeted as if we were the first guests of the day! The room was delightful, the views beautiful, and the fireplace only one of many things that were warm about this venue. I have already told friends this is where we will be staying on our next trip to Hendersonville, NC.
