The Henderson captures all the quaintness of Hendersonville and what The town has to offer. From the accommodating proprietor to the fabulous food in the restaurant and a great nights sleep, you couldn’t ask for a better place and location if you are visiting Hendersonville! I wouldn’t consider any other place to stay when I go back.
We made the trip to Hendersonville to pick up a new puppy. It was too long a drive to go back in one day. The breeder recommended staying at the Henderson. What a great decision! The Inn has great history, super owner hosts & a fabulous restaurant. We loved the locally sourced ingredients. The room we selected was a great size & just the right amount of vintage decor. Loved the coffee station in the hall. I would love to go back post Covid for the complete Inn experience. The fireplace seating area (parlor), adjacent bar & normal dining area is an incredible space that is not totally usable in our current "social distancing" reality. The location should also be noted. 1 block walk from the historic shopping /dining street & a short drive to Jump Off Rock, the Carl Sandburg home or Asheville. Great onsite parking.…
My husband and I stayed at the Henderson for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hosts, the Gilligan’s, were gracious and met our every need. We felt the B&B was covid-safe, especially since they had this huge wraparound porch for our B&B breakfast every morning, We made reservations for dinner one night and both the service and meals were excellent. While the room felt a bit small, the bathroom was spacious and updated. We hope to return someday, and when we do, we’ll ask for a larger room. This B&B is an easy walking distance into town where you can find fun stores to shop in. It’s also a great place to stay if you want to visit some of the waterfalls in western N.C. We highly recommend this B&B!
Where can one travel during a pandemic? The Henderson, of course !!. We drove 11 hrs and spent 4 nights there leaf peeping and were not disappointed. Jeanne and Michael run a tight ship and spare no expense in keeping guests safe and comfortable. Hospitals can take a cleaning lesson from them. The breakfasts were fantastic and we ended up eating most dinners at Harvey's on the veranda and went through the entire menu. Location is in the heart of town, and 30 minutes in any direction to hike, bike, boat or just explore. WE SHALL RETURN
Nice bed and breakfast with an gourmet restaurant “Harvey’s”. Old school b&b rooms are all different and quaint. Nice porch with heaters. Great service and very nice owners. Chef is very talented with a great breakfast and separate dinner selections.
