The Mountain Lake Cottages is a place where you can come to relax and find peace in today’s hectic world. A lovely gathering of eleven one-bedroom cottages, circa 1920. Our pleasing cottages look out on beautiful Lake Osceola. The lake presents 1.6 miles of shoreline to explore. We encourage guests to use our canoe to enjoy the water. Fishing is permitted with a license. Rise early in the morning and let the mist on the lake take your breath away, or find an unfrequented place to sit, read and enjoy the quiet. Being only minutes from Main Street in Hendersonville you will be able to take advantage of all this charming town has to offer. Enjoy browsing our boutiques, antiquing or spend an evening on Main being entertained by live music at one of the many street dances. There are a wide variety of chef-owned restaurants to choose from for your dining pleasure. Day excursions to many waterfalls, hiking trails and Asheville’s eclectic interests are a must.

Don't expect fancy, it's not here. Do expect a little trip back in time. The "cottages" are an old family camp. Each unit connects by little porches. The rooms are arranged interestingly in some units. There are two closest to the lake and other units which face the lake. Our unit had a kitchenette and no stove. So, we were able to eat sandwiches, have coffee, etc. The beds are comfy. I'd like to see a little updating, but I'd hate to lose the style. I feel safe and at home. There's a great little courtyard with a variety of seating vignettes, a fire pit, a hammock and a grill. I have stayed there when there were lots of people about (not loud) and this summer when no one seemed to be there. The lake is pretty and the lodge location is so close to Hendersonville. It's worth a stay if you don't want the cookie cutter chain hotels. Might be roughing it a little more that some people like. I enjoy the quiet, a soft bed, a good shower, kitchenette and porch. We loved hanging out in the room and on the porch listening to the rain on the roof. I do feel the cost is a little high for what you get, but maybe they have to charge to stay open.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m glad you enjoyed, what we call, “feels like camp” atmosphere and a little trip back in time. Come back to “camp” anytime!

THANK YOU 🙏🏼 for being such a gracious host. We LOVE you and CHERISH our time there. Your place is a little piece of heaven...and that’s because of who you are. We’ve never felt like just a “visitor”; you’ve always embraced us with open arms and we’ve become “family”. We loved cooking with you at the inn, meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones; having coffee on the porch, overlooking the lake...so peaceful; walking around the lake with your loved ones enjoying their company and conversations; taking a hike (with the pups) to the waterfalls; your quaint “downtown”!!! I LOVE IT!! Eating sushi, strolling down the street for ice cream, getting a mani/pedi, going to CrossFit, and going to Hot Yoga! This town has it all!!!! Thank you for all the opportunity to create so many precious memories. We look forward to creating many more!!!

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful stay! We came here to relax and enjoy nature. The cottages have all of your essentials: comfy bed, shower with great water pressure, stove top, mini fridge, porch. Open the front door to your cottage and have a view of the most beautiful, calm, peaceful lake! The owner lets you use all of his lake toys like floats, paddle boards, tubes, etc. very close to downtown where you can grab great food. Will stay every summer!

We visit the Inn every Summer ! The Leoni Inn is a magicial place where people come together for the best hiking, swimming in the lake, shopping or relax and take in the view. The most inclusive host and guests. Highly recommended. We love it and cant wait to re visit next Summer!!!

Another great run at Mountain Lake Cottages. We never miss a year. A real throwback to the camp feeling. Serene lake, amazing people. and a great reset. With the center of town just a few minutes away, the best of both worlds. Thanks Michelle, for always accommodating us with a smile and being there for whatever we need.
