Went in the middle of August and stayed in one of the cabins. Had an amazing time. Everyone is so nice and hospitable. Can't recommend enough. Lake and water are great too. Overall the perfect place to getaway!
We recently stayed at the Lake Bungalow with our small dog. I’ll start with the positives. The inside of the house was spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the water pressure was great. It is also located close to several state parks, many restaurants and shopping. The view of the lake was beautiful! Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the lack of outdoor space. There is a deck right on the water. But, no green space at all for walking a dog. In other reviews a “trail/path” around the lake was mentioned. This is actually a two lane road with several blind turns. The only place to walk a dog is on the very narrow sides of this road. Due to the lack of safe space for our dog we decided to cut our trip short. I would recommend this bungalow on the lake to anyone traveling without a pet. …
What a hidden gem!! We spent 3 nights here in the Lakeside Bungalow and could not have been happier! We really needed a break from 2020 and boy, did this do the trick! We walked every morning around the beautiful lake, hiked at nearby DuPont Park with the lovely waterfalls and at night curled up with a good book, bottle of wine and enjoyed some great dinners from the local restaurants via GrubHub/UberEats! We could not have been happier! The cottage was spotless with every amenity provided. Close to grocery stores so we could stock up and the views were wonderful! We hadnt event left the property before we found ourselves saying, "When do you want to come back?" Thank you to Todd & Michelle - we will be back!!
Lakeside cabins and clean, mountain air make me one happy camper 🚤⛰. In balance with nature feels like luxury to me. Lots to do in the area: The local town of Hendersonville is charming and way cool Asheville is close by. Think farm to table restaurants and lots of cute shops 🙌🏻. The Inn is well kept and attended to with an on site manager always checking on me😃. Simple but everything you could need. Lots of equipment available at the lake for guests, fire pits for the evenings and early morning midst on the lake. Little hustle bustle and lots of serenity make this a return to location for me.
We visited the Mountain Lake Cottages for the second summer in a row. The views of the lake are breathtaking. It was my boyfriend and I, his brother and wife and their mother. We enjoyed Downtown Hendersonville, DuPont Forest for hiking. The room we stayed in was super clean, stocked with all kitchen wear needed. The bed was super comfy. AC works great. Shower was super hot and great pressure! We will be back soon!!
