Wonder location, beautiful view, clean and friendly staff. The rooms overlook the water and have private decks as well. Very spacious rooms, with small refrig and microwave. Upon returning to the Island-we will stay here again!

Had a FANTASTIC stay here as usual. It was so nice to be "home" our daughter didn't join us this trip (was with pappy at MB). Everyone is so nice and helpful. We stayed in the fishermen's quarters efficiency room. This room has 2 queen beds, love seat, sleeper sofa, full size fridge, kitchen, bathroom and microwave. We brought a...

We wanted to stay in a ockracoke but they had no rooms available since we didn't know where we would end up we waited last minute. So we caught the ferry to cape hatteras and called the break water inn. The pictures looked awesome but they said they only had two rooms left so we took the handicap accessible fishermen...

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with your stay at the Fisherman's Quarters. As you stated, we only had 2 rooms left and they were both in our pet friendly building. The rooms in this building aren't as nice a those in our Sound front building. Both room types are shown on our web page.

We spent one night at The Breakwater Inn while traveling through the Outer Banks. It's located in the quaint Village of Hatteras. The staff were very friendly at check in and our room was clean. My favorite thing was the view from the deck that's attached to the room. I spent most of the evening out there watching boats come...

I stayed the Breakwater Inn for only one night and enjoyed the room, its cleanliness, but most of all the stunning harbor view from the room and the deck of the restaurant. The staff is very friendly - i would come back any time.

We stayed in the main part of the Inn and not the Fishermen's Quarters which were fully booked. We thought $179 was a tad pricey for one night, but the view from our balcony made up for it. We were on the third floor and there is no elevator, so we had to send the luggage up in the 'dumb...

Staff was helpful getting my boys and I set up for the night, we had a 5am fishing charter set up. The room seemed clean at first but once inside it smelled very musty and damp. We opened the door to the patio and left it open for a bit to try and air it out but it was late...

This guest arrived a day after tropical Storm Colin passed by us dropping a record amount of rainfall. That was probably why the room smelled damp. If the door was open for any length of time I'm sure flying insects, such as mosquitoes, gnats, no-see-ums, etc., entered the room. This probably explains why one of the boys got bit on...

Spent a great Memorial Day weekend at the newest section of the Breakwater Inn. Nice people both in the office and in the nearby restaurant! The views were AWESOME and room was spotless! Pricing for our stay was well worth it, if you are trying to find somewhere to stay come here! Do not stay at an overpriced hotel! Will...

My husband booked a room at the recommendation of the charter company for his birding tour. In all honesty, the rooms in the main building of the inn may have been better than the adjunct where our room was located. There was a bag of empty beer cans in front of our door. Not a good welcome. The room itself...

The room that this guest stayed in was in our pet friendly older building, which is a bit cheaper than our newer main building. The bag of empty beer cans was not in front of this guest's room but the room next door, which was being cleaned. As soon as the room was cleaned the bag of trash was removed....

We stayed at The Breakwater Inn for hubby's fishing trip. Our usual house that we stay at was unavailable for such a short stay (3 days). The Breakwater is located on a marina. Easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping (SeaWorthy Gallery). The Breakwater Inn has one of my major requirements, cleanliness! Our room was spotless! I saw...

We as so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Breakwater Inn. Thank you for your understanding of a water front hotel and the smell that is associated with a marina. We are very proud of the great job our housekeepers do, we got a 99.5 sanitation rating last year!
