We stayed in Apt 123 at the Villas for four nights beginning with the Labor Day Weekend 2020. My husband had never been to the OBX and I'd only stayed in Duck many years ago so Hatteras was new to us. It's a very quiet community at the end of the island, about 1.5 hours further south from the Nags Head/Duck area. Check in and check out was contactless. The Villas apartment we stayed in was clean, modern, well-equipped and very quiet, with a balcony that looked out onto a marsh (much more private than the units over the pool area). Due to COVID, we cooked a lot, and the kitchen had all the dishes and utensils we needed. The building has washer/dryers and ice machines on every floor, and there was a nice pool area with gas grills. The beach is across the street and we didn't find it crowded. The ferry to Ocracoke island is literally next door (we wanted to go, but were deterred by bad weather). There's a small mall with mostly t-shirt stores attached to the ferry area, and a small grocery store less than a mile away. A great place for a beach vacation !

This is our 4th time stay here and we are always impressed by the courterous staff and friendly neighbors. However, we usually book through global discovery vacations and were unable to this year. We instead booked through outer beaches realty and suggest steering clear!!! The cleaniless is subpar at best compared to the condos cleaned by the villas staff. Couch smells of urine, filthy shower etc. When we book through global the condos are cleaned by the villas staff and are spotless. We are also very unimpressed with how outer beaches is handling the pandemic. $200 cancellation fee and unlikely to get any refund so we took the risk to come down. The villas themselves are handling it much better after we inquired about their policy. Overall, we love it here and will return. The location is stellar, directly across from the beach, walking distance to the ocracoke ferry and to hatteras landing shops, but if we are unable to book with global we will book directly through the villas.

This was our second trip to this hotel. Updated furnishings. Very short walk across road to beach. Great pool. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Good restaurants and seafood shops down the road. All in all, perfect spot for a very relaxing beach vacation.

The location of the condos are great across the street from the beach, easy walk..staff are nice and helpful.Units have old furniture and 1980s TVs. They still work and the cable is good if you don’t mind the old TVs.The landing with boats and shops right across the parking lot.Free ferry to Okracoke very close(go early gets crowded the afternoon). Also the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum easy walk from the condos. Kitchen with 2 stove tops combination microwave and convection oven for use.2 grills to use. We grilled 3 different nights, restaurants are expensive and we had small children with us so eating in was the best option. The kitchen area was adequate for cooking, no problem there. Nice pool.if you have young children there is a small playground behind the post office about two miles away.fishing areas close too.not a ton to do so just have to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Came with my family of 4 for a weeks vacation. Here's my feedback on the place. Condo review *Do not recommend for 4 ppl as the units are very cramped plus the island peninsula only had 3 chairs for 4 people (max capacity for the unit is listed as 4). *Both TV's were very outdated with DVD/VCR combos. * The unit was very musty and damp. The unit has a dehumidifier in the living area but one is needed for the bedroom. We noticed water damage on the master bedroom ceiling. * The pull out sofa was barely a full size mattress and was extremely thin and springy. Old too. No pillow cases for the pillows they supply for the sofa bed. * Master headboard was broken and needs replaced. *Kitchen has 2 burner stove and an apartment sized refrigerator. Some of the dishes were cracked and should be replaced. *Pool area is nice. * No elevator so if you have trouble with stairs, get a first floor unit.
