We stayed in Garden unit D, I did not realize when I booked this room that it was separate from the lodge. Required walking outdoors to get to the main lodge. Would not have been a problem if the lighting had been working....many lights out around Garden unit D - I felt a little spooked getting around after dark because... More

There is nothing I can really say negative about this nice. The room was perfect with are our balcony. The view was beautiful surrounding the entire village. Staff Friendly. We went fishing on the lake rented through the marina so we did not do much on the grounds...

My husband and I stayed at the resort for 4 nights the first weekend in August. Being from Florida and the resort being in the mountains, we thought it would be a bit cooler but the temperature was around 85F every day...just not humid so great for us! Make sure to bring plenty of sunblock. And, the resort is up... More

We were there for a three day get away from Atlanta. Prepare for a short 30 minute drive on a crooked road. The food was good and the service was outstanding. Golf was great at Sequa National near Cherokee, a 50 minute drive. Staff was very helpful. Ashley, Anne, Bobby Sue and Ashton. Be sure and stop at Junk N... More

We spent two nights in one of their cabins and it was great. The cabins aren't rustic cabins that you might expect. They are more like apartments, but they have everything you need...just bring your food and clothes. There is a country store that is very well stocked. There is also a laundromat, post office and restaurants. There is a... More

If you're looking for a little oasis in the Smoky Mountains, this is the place for you. Cottages, hotel, poolside rooms, and all motorcycle friendly - gas station & coffee shop around the corner. Beautifully landscaped like an island resort. Fantastic restaurant with bay windows overlooking the mountains. Majestically decorated outbuildings along with professional and friendly staff. Added plus -... More

We stopped at Fontana Village resort in March of 2015 while on our Appalachian Trail through hike. Due to the time of year it was relatively empty. I cannot report about customer service during busy times of year, but it was quite good in February when we were passing through. We used the Laundromat to clean our smelly hiker cothes... More

This place is terrible, and not a campground. It was so bad that after driving 3 hours and arriving at 5pm we didn't stay and ended up staying in cherokee instead. FIRST THINGS FIRST: DO NOT PLAN ON TOWING A CAMPER HERE UNLESS IT'S A POP UP. The steep winding road is simply not worth the terrible campground. After driving... More

Thank you so much for your review. Without a sports car or motorcycle the only things to do at the Resort are swimming in the two pools and lazy river, enjoying the miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, tennis, volleyball, basketball, mini golf, an 18 hole professional disc golf course, renting a kayak, canoe or pontoon boat at the... We really enjoyed our stay this past Saturday at the Fontana Village Resort. Our room, in the lodge, was very clean and comfortable. The property was well kept with plenty of things to do. We rented a golf cart and drove all throughout the property. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We ate dinner at the... More
