My husband and I stayed at The MacPherson House for one night and enjoyed our stay. We were able to park in an area right beside the house. It was a pleasure to meet Katy who greeted us when we arrived.

We stayed in The Lafayette room which was charming and comfortable. Everything was so clean and fresh. Plenty of towels were provided, the toiletries were lovely, and the fresh rose and delicious chocolate bar were nice touches. Everything was set up and laid out so beautifully.

I love having a hot cup of tea in the evening so it was nice to have a tea and coffee station right outside our room. The available teas were delicious (my favorite was the peach flavored one). Both paper cups and mugs were available along with coffee pods for the Keurig machine.

A hot breakfast was offered but we knew we were leaving very early the next morning. I let Katy know ahead of time and she packed up a delicious breakfast for us which consisted of hard boiled eggs, yogurts, and muffins. She prepared it the day before and left it in an easily accessible refrigerator on the first floor.

I am so happy we chose to stay at The MacPherson House while in Fayetteville.

The MacPherson House is an excellent B&B located within easy walking distance to the historic downtown of Fayetteville. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully restored. Check in and out was easy and convenient. We opted for the sit down breakfast which was excellent - including a nice conversation with the hostess, Kindra, a native of the area. The home was very comfortable and fun to experience. I would recommend reserving rooms at the back of the house if one is a light sleeper, although ear plugs and a white noise machine are provided.

I booked the MacPherson House for my bridal party to stay at the night before my wedding. Katy, Michael, and all the staff were super accommodating and welcoming. Katy allowed me to check-in early to place personal gifts for my bridesmaids in each of the rooms, she also provided a space for my wedding day hair and makeup team to service the bridal party, and had a tasty hot breakfast prepared for us the morning of the wedding. The rooms were very clean and the beds are super comfortable! The home gives you all the feels of an authentic Bed & Breakfast, with all the works including fresh cookies, tea, coffee, wine, and wonderful bathroom amenities. The beautiful house and natural lighting provide wonderful opportunities for bridal party photos as well.

My husband and I returned to the house the evening of our wedding and had a romantic dinner prepared by a private chef. Katy and Michael even left us a box of chocolates and a sweet congratulatory card. We had an early flight out the next morning for our honeymoon and were able to grab the early bird to-go breakfast bags. Simply put, The MacPherson House is truly a gem in Fayetteville and is the perfect place for a bridal party and/or newlyweds! I can't wait to return for another visit.

I Don't Always stay in Bed and Breakfasts but when I do I choose the MacPherson House..... Do yourselves a favor spend a few extra bucks and get a few hundred extra dollars worth of value. Great Rooms, heavenly beds, plush towels, a breakfast to die for and super convenient to all the hot spots downtown. You will literally feel that your staying with family the house is beautiful with a lovely front and back porch exhibiting amazing old southern charm with all the new amenities. At the end of the day all those things are nice but the hospitality and the people make the stay, so when you get the privilege of having Kendra make your breakfast and the benefit of Mrs. Katy-Taylor to make you feel incredibly welcome, warm and appreciated as a guest you'll understand very quickly how southern hospitality is alive and thriving at the MacPherson House.

Also for me I have a bigger truck and they have ample parking in a downtown setting which is key. This is a "stay with family" type of setting and if you have the privilege of finding vacancy here it will certainly be where you'll want to reside every time you come to this town. Beautiful Place, Beautiful sleep but more important to all that is the Beautiful people that made my stay heavenly. I just wish I could of stayed longer....

We had a quick overnight here and loved it. The bedrooms are beautiful and spacious. Bathrooms are smaller (sinks often in the bedrooms) but very well done. The best part for my husband were all the free snacks...homemade cookes, muffins, candies/chocolates and keurig available all the time. We stayed in the suite and enjoyed the sunroom. No tv in rooms, but that was ok for us. We did watch the masters on our laptops so the internet worked well. As mentioned before it is noisy, but they give out earplugs and had a noise machine available. I think it's probably worse in the street facing rooms, lots of loud mufflers in this town! Train not an issue for us. We would definitely stay here again, particularly since it's so close to 95 and feels a world apart!

Beautiful, clean home and very friendly breakfast staff. The breakfast (quiche, yogurt, bacon and fruit) was very good. My only issue (and it is a pretty big one) was with the amount of noise heard from pretty much everywhere in the house. I didn’t realize when I booked it that the B&B is on a very busy street and next to the train station. There is also a baseball field very close, and you can hear the announcer from the front porch. I tried to enjoy the nice weather in one of the rocking chairs but the views and noise of cars speeding by and the baseball game going on made me quickly move back inside. They do provide both ear plugs and a white noise machine in the room, but it still made for not the most relaxing and peaceful stay. I also thought the price was a tad higher than what it was worth (one night was $182 and that was with military discount)…and it was one of the least expensive rooms. I like to support local, family owned (especially fellow military) establishments, unfortunately I don’t think I would be back to this one.

We absolutely loved our stay at the MacPherson House to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We chose the cottage as it is pet friendly, and we were traveling with our Jack Russell, Katy. The cottage is tucked behind the main house and feels very private. With its tall ceilings, fireplace, and period details, it is utterly charming and wonderfully spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with snacks, coffee, dog treats and more, and had a view of the garden from the window. We were delighted to find the headboard in the bedroom was made from an antique mantel, and the mattress was divine. Lots of fluffy white towels in the bath, along with a very large inviting tub. In the morning we toured the main house, which is beautifully restored, and met our host who could not have been more welcoming. A fabulous stay, and we can’t wait to go back!

My wife and I were recently traveling back from our Thanksgiving trip home when some bad storms started to come thru the area. We searched for places close by to stay the night and stumbled upon this gem. It is only about 10 min off of I-95 and is very COVID friendly. We were able to gain access into the B&B with a code given to us by the owner via text and also were able to get into our suite the same way. This was very nice as we have a little one and were apprehensive about going to any old hotel as we wanted to limit our exposure. We had door dash deliver food to the front porch and we enjoyed our beautiful room and complementary wine! We were left a to go breakfast (as that is what we requested when given the choice) that was full of great stuff for the road. I would recommend staying at the MacPherson House if you get the chance. What ever you do, don't forget to have some of the chocolate chip cookies!

The MacPherson house was absolutely adorable! Contactless check-in and access to my room made the entire experience seamless. After I checked into the Lafayette room, I had a glass of wine and a fresh cookie out on the wrap-around porch. I will definitely be staying there for future trips to Fayetteville - it's great to have an alternative to the chain hotels!

We absolutely adored our stay at The MacPherson House. My husband, mother in law and I planned a weekend in Fayetteville to visit family. My mother in law grew up in this area and ironically the house sits on the property that was once part of her high school football stadium. When we pulled up to the house we couldn’t wait to get inside. The check in process was easy and efficient as we were given a code to enter the home on our arrival. We were all pleasantly surprised when we entered our rooms to see how large, unique and beautifully appointed they are. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were pure heaven. We met Mary the next morning who served us the first of our delicious breakfasts. The quiche, yogurt with fruit and granola and sausage were plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed talking to Mary about her own family and we shared some things about ours. She really made us feel welcome and by our second morning we felt like old friends or family. To say we enjoyed our stay is an understatement. We talked about how lovely the house was on our drive back to Charleston Sc and plan to visit again soon. Thank you for a delightful weekend!
