We have stayed here many times in the past. We loved it! We made a new reservation only to find out the rates have doubled, so I canceled. You can stay in a 5 star hotel with room service, maid service and more amenities for less than what they are now charging you per night to stay in your own rv. There are campsites in SC that are much nicer and have a lot more to offer even on the beach for about half the price. What a shame, we truly loved to visit here every year. I have read that the original owner sold to a company so guess this is the reason. We are going to miss coming here but I refuse to pay your price for what little you offer. I hope everyone else eventually follows suit.
This is the nicest camper I’ve ever stayed at. Clean bathhouse, campsites are roomy. The pitfall is the cost and restrictions recently implemented. Some people don’t abide the rules and everyone ends up paying the price. Cost is outrageous. Families camp for several reasons and one is affordability
We have stayed here before and were looking forward to visiting this weekend. We have been hesitant to cancel our reservation, hoping Tropical Storm Nicole would diffuse into a non-event. Unfortunately it is now a hurricane and North Carolina is directly in the northern path of the storm, so we would have to drive through the high winds and rain with an RV to get to Emerald Isle. Be warned of the cancellation policy when you make reservations.
This was a very nice campground in a good location on Emerald Isle, NC. Food store were not far away. Did not use their restrooms but the grounds were kept up nicely. It's right on the beach and there is a nice pool near the office. Would definitely come here again. They rent golfcarts also.
We won't go back, it is so tight. The sites are all grass and sand, if it would of rained we would have had a really hard te getting our 43ft out For the price we expected better set ups. The are stacked in there like sardines. Not for us. Wifi is the crap too Again we won't go back there.
This is "hands down" our favorite campground! The site are huge, the park is clean, you never see an overflowing trashcan or empty dispensers in the bathrooms. Bathrooms are always clean and cool! Our only complaints, 1) the wifi is not good at all. We've stayed before and it was patchy but not as bad as it was this year. I know that's not a guarantee but if it's advertised as an amenity it really should be at least a bit more reliable. 2) while the laundry facilities are nice and clean, it cost me $10 to wash and dry one load of laundry. That seems excessive considering that the cost of lot rental is about the same as condo rental and many condos have W/D included in rent. We will always come back here because we love the park and the staff are awesome. If necessary, we'll live with the few drawbacks because everything else makes this a great place to enjoy the beach ⛱️ …
Everything was clean, especially clubhouses(showers, bathrooms.) Laundry is exorbitantly overpriced and only open during “business hours.” Location to Beach is excellent. HOWEVER, cost is too high for the level of customer service. Who ever heard of a resort with an 11pm curfew for getting back in the gate? Want to go out for a late dinner and drinks with friends? Better be back by 11 or you will have to sleep in your car. The main complaint is that the WiFi is so weak that they might as well stop advertising it. A simple WiFi booster for THIS customer would have gone a long way. Forget about cable. It’s snowy and many channels listed in the customer guide of their App are missing. Upon complaint, Management simply copied and pasted a statement (undoubtedly from their legal department,) that cable and WiFi quality is not guaranteed. We got here just before Labor Day weekend while the park was largely vacant, so we had a few minutes at a time of streaming to use Roku. But, as more RVs arrived for the weekend, WiFi bandwidth was overwhelmed and by Saturday was nonexistent. While listed as “pet friendly” there are no off-leash areas for dogs. I would not recommend this place unless you want to boondocks it, then I’d say do that and not waste your money. Very disappointed.…
Very clean well maintained campground. For 175 a night I expected a lot more out of the campground. Pool was very far from sites. Should be more centrally located. No water park no dog run no lakes to fish. Sites were big for ocean front camp ground but again for 175 a night I would expect concrete padded sites like other places have.
This was our third visit over the past 6 years and we love it! One of the cleanest campgrounds we’ve stayed in! The pool is big and has plenty of chaise lounges! The beach area has plenty of room to spread out! We highly recommend this campground!
Truly enjoyed the resort. The staff were nice and friendly, the grounds was clean. We had easy access to the beach. This was our first experience in a RV and definitely will plan to do come back again. Our dogs even enjoyed themselves.
