The front desk was friendly, but don’t have an issue that requires maintenance. Our remote wouldn’t work and we were told that someone would come to our room. 2 hours later that still didn’t happen even though we complained after an hour. Also, the pool was closed and apparently has been for quite a while. The breakfast consisted of waffles, cereal , yogurt and apples. I am highly allergic to dairy and do not consume gluten so the only thing that I could eat was 2 apples. The second day, there was only one apple…I was not happy!

Hotel's Favorite
After reading other reviews I felt compelled to write my own. I usually stay exclusively at hotels with interior rooms so I did not know what to expect. I was not disappointed and will stay here again. I stayed in room 215 for 3 nights in early March for a 2 day event in town. The room was clean, the shower and bathroom were roomy and new. The carpet, bed and linens were clean and comfy. The internet and tv worked fine. There was no breakfast, which was okay for me. I purchased breakfast from Panera Bread which is next door to the hotel. I also ordered food from Chick Fil A for lunch which is also next door and bowled in the evening. This hotel was clean, and quiet and granted me a noon check out with any hassle. If you are in Elizabeth City and are looking for a good nights sleep, look no further than staying here.

Poor accommodations. No coffee maker or hair dryer in room. Night attendant told us maintenance man would find one and deliver it. Never saw him nor the coffee maker. Pool was completely drained. Advertised “Hot breakfast” included a waffle maker, yogurt, apples and cold cereal. Security risk that latch lock on door was half broken off. Cable channels did not work on TV Stay somewhere else!

We checked in and didn’t bother to check out, we just got the f*ck out. And found a different hotel. The lady at the check-in desk gave the appearance that she couldn’t care less about doing her job. And when my friend went to check out our room, she discovered that someone else was already staying in that room. Parking was in back of the building and it was extremely sketchy, there were people loitering everywhere, and I’m pretty sure I witnessed a drug deal in the Walgreen’s parking lot which is right behind the hotel. I recommend skipping this place and take your chances staying at a bus stop. Seriously. AWFUL.

This is an older hotel, rooms are accessed via outdoor entrances, more motel like. But for the money ($72 a night) it is reasonable. Not a new shiny hotel by any stretch but again, you are playing less than $75 a night during the week. By comparison, Hampton Inn was getting $199 a night on the same day. Our room was clean and comfortable.

We traveled with friends and all rooms had major problems. Non-smoking room smells of smoke. Toilet broken. Coffee pot broken. Lights near bed not working. Alarm clock needed unplugged because making noise randomly. Extremely loud and rowdy all night long.

This place was dirty! There was a spider on the back of the door when we went in and a dead bug on bathroom floor. TV didn’t work called front desk he said he would be down. Half an hour later my husband went down to front desk. He came back with my husband got it to turn on but only one station because cable box was missing. Said he would be right back half an hour later husband went back down to bring him back. Finally fixed!

This was the worst hotel ever. There’s not enough room to write it all in detail here, so here’s a list: Wet towels Door off hinges Chipped paint Bad smell TV broken Pool out of order Garbage in shopping carts Dirty Holes in sheets There’s no way the pictures on the site and the reviews can be real. We were out of there!

Check into a nice room after a long 11 hour drive, I decided to leave for a short time to pick up something to eat from a local restaurant. When I returned my key card didn’t work. I went to the front desk to get it reset. When I got back to the room I notice an item on the laying on the floor that didn’t belong to me. That’s Right! Someone else was check into my room. Fortunately nothing was missing, the situation was fixed, but how dangerous especially during the COVID-19. I don’t know who or how people could have entered the room.The one work sprayed air freshener

Granted I can’t give this place a good review, but I have to say the staff was extremely nice and polite during our stay, so it’s a shame there are other factors pulling the place down. Besides some need for upkeep, which is usually somewhat expected in any budget hotel, there was a rough crowd of people hanging out late that night leading to some safety concerns. Our non smoking room absolutely reeked of smoke and there was only a hole where the smoke detector used to be. We slept one night, left early the next morning, and I will be using another place the next time we need a night to stay before heading into the Outer Banks.
