This hotel is definitely no frills, but it served its purpose for the night. The reception was pleasant, and the clerk provided some good recommendations for food. The common areas were as clean as they could be for a dated hotel. The room was sufficient, definitely nothing fancy.

Pillows are so lumpy as to be unuseable. Shower had absolutely no water pressure, sink wouldn't drain, sheets were stained. I would also suggest that they have something on their breakfast TV that is innocuous instead of politically orientated. No matter what biased site you air, you will offend half your guests.

This place is a dump. I only gave it 2 stars because of the friendly front desk staff. It’s old and not in a great area. The carpet is worn, the paint is peeling, the bathroom is old and the toilet seat was coming off. The bathroom door wouldn’t close either. One set of curtains had no track to close them and there was a spotlight shining in from the Days in next door. Speaking of the Days Inn, there was a fight at 3:45am in the parking lot with screaming. On the other side of the hotel is a 7-11 with people constantly hanging there. I should have spent the extra money and stayed at the Hampton Inn up the road. Never again, but glad it was for one night on our way to the beach.

In recent years we have had excellent luck with Comfort Inns. The corporation has seemed to be on top of cleaning them, renovating them and just over all making it a quality stay for a good price. This one though was old , smelly , dirty, parking behind a 7-11 with some interesting clientele. Broken lock on the door. Water pressure. Chair I’m sitting in now feels like sitting in grandpas stinky chair in the basement.

I was on a solo road trip at the end of April 2022 and spent a Saturday night at this hotel in Elizabeth City. All in all, my stay was okay... nothing special, but everything with my room was fine. I checked in at around 6 p.m. on Saturday. The check-in process went smoothly. My room (#508) was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the business center and was able to use the computer. I got a decent night's sleep too, which is important. Also, I was happy that my request to be on a high floor was honored. I can't speak to the breakfast at this hotel because I ended up eating breakfast elsewhere in town. While the hotel was nothing special, I had no problems with my stay.

We stayed here while we where in Elizabeth City doing business. The facility is an older building the layout was older and needed a little TLC. Our room was clean and looks to be recently updated. Breakfast was almost back to normal with all the Covid restrictions. The Choice app said there was truck parking. To be honest The lot was full and there is not a lot of parking for large vehicles with trailers. We had to park along the curb by the main entrance. The lady at the front desk was nice and helpful. A lot of workers stay here while on the job because there are a ton of work trucks in the lot. No real complaints. I would consider staying here again if in the area without my large trailer.

I surely hope this isn’t the best Elizabeth city has to offer. We booked here on our way to the outer banks. The only positive was the rate, but I would have happily paid more if it was clean, modern, maintained, didn’t smell and was up to code. I wouldn’t stay again for free. I understand Covid been hard on the industry but it’s obvious the place hasn’t been properly maintained for some time. We didn’t bother complaining to front desk, if they thought it was ok to rent a room like this in the first place (when it was no where near sold out) what would they offer? My wife has had the fill of discomfort inn!

This was our first stay at this hotel and it won't be our last. The young lady at the front desk, Atari Evans, was very hospitable. She is the main reason why we will return. She was very accommodating and the room she gave us was very spacious and clean. She recommended restaurants and they did not disappoint. When we return to Elizabeth City (and there will be plenty of trips), we will definitely stay at this hotel and look for Atari!

Pool was filthy. Granted was close to the end of season but still hot enough to warrant a swim. Rooms were ok. Breakfast was decent and staff was extremely nice. Site could use an update to meet current standards of other hotels in the chain.
