This place is an absolute gem. Ray and Maureen make you feel welcomed and treat you like family. The room was wonderful and breakfast was delicious. Plus for all those concerned about Elizabeth City, we walked around the downtown area and felt perfectly safe both during the day and night.

This bed and breakfast is truly my home away from home. I frequent events at Elizabeth City State University and the B&B is always accommodating. From the great rates to amazing breakfast and delightful conversations, I would never stay anywhere other than this B&B when traveling to the area. Returned to E.City for a funeral. When I knocked on the yellow door, our hosts greeted me and I felt so welcome. We brought our dog, so we wanted a safe place for him to stay. Stayed in a spacious room above the lodge. It was perfect. We plan to stay here every time we return home in the future.... More

This was our first visit to Elizabeth City and to the Elizabeth City Bed and Breakfast. We couldn't have been happier. The B&B is wonderful -- the decor is comfortable and inviting, our room was light and airy (those gorgeous old wood floors!!) and the layout of the place with the internal brick courtyard is something special. Can't say enough... More

Maureen and Ray are warm hosts for this historic home B&B. Accommodations are very comfortable and breakfasts are delicious, nutritious and filling enough to last until dinner. It's a great location, too - you can walk anywhere in the downtown area from there.
