We had the most enjoyable visit with Holly. We were here 11 years ago, on our pre-wedding family trek from Boston to North Carolina. Holly puts a lot of energy and talent into this historic inn, and her love of decorating and hospitality show in every room and meal and service. We had the best night's sleep in the Crown Room.

We stopped at the B&B for one night and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived after regular check-in hours, but still felt very welcomed by their personal self-check-in process. The green room was very clean and comfortable! The entire grounds were gorgeous and although we didn't go into the pool, the pool area was like a serene oasis to sit and relax. I would recommend this B&B to anyone! Innkeepers were very communicative and responsive, as well. Great stay!

We were thrilled to be able to get a couples spot at their annual Valentines Day dinner. The Inn was so beautifully and elegantly decorated; the meal courses were phenomenal (and all were masterfully prepared by the Inn’s owner Holly Audette); the wait staff were so pleasant and quick to accommodate; and we were paired with other guests with our personalities in mind so conversation was delightful and fun. This is not the first event I’ve attended at the Inn, and each time, everything was planned to perfection with the guests comfort and enjoyment clearly in mind. The Culpepper Inn is an amazing place to see and, as a guest, you absolutely will not be disappointed.

This b and b is a rip off would not permit my husband and I to see the room before we occupied it. The male owner told me they will not permit that suggesting that we may have Covid .I said I only saw pictures I would appreciate seeing what e are paying for.there was no one in the parking lot I understand why.refused to give us our money back because they had no zero business.I would never suggest anyone staying there I am in the hotel business and I have never met such an arrogant rude individual in charge of customer service and a manager of a bed and breakfast. We really enjoy our stay. The B&B is beautiful and we wished we had more time to enjoy the accommodations. On our wish list would have been individual temperature control for the room, it was very chilly. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay. Look forward to future stays with Michael and Holly.

Inn is a lovely spot there in Elizabeth City. We did have a structural problem with the room that required immediate assistance. Innkeeper was extremely responsive. They offered to move us to another room and reimbursed us for part of the stay. It was no doing of theirs and nothing that could have been foreseen, but they were so apologetic and genuinely wanted to make sure our stay was as best as it could be. We'll visit again when up that way!

A very pleasant experience at the Culpepper! Holly was an excellent hostess... the rooms I rented were immaculate. The baked goods were to die for and it was so very quiet and peaceful.

This business will be going for a long time because they were gracious and kind, above all else.

The Culpepper always has great rooms, clean, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. This is my third visit and I will be returning in August. Easily accessible to the Elizabeth City's waterfront, Palin's Alley, Historic Edenton, and all the OBX areas from Corova to Hatteras for day tripping. I own a home in Corolla, NC but this is my way of enjoying the area when it is rented and if needing to attend to any issues with my property. I highly recommend the Culpepper for your next visit to the area!

I have stayed at the Culpepper Inn many times over the years and the hospitality I receive from the owners, Michael and Holly Audette, from helping me find a dinner reservation or suggesting a place to spend a nice afternoon, they are always there to help make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Wonderful experience every time. Rooms are clean and cozy and always ready for me to enjoy.

We would recommend the Culpepper Inn to anyone. The property is quiet, clean, and well maintained. Our room was set up for us upon arrival complete with the TV playing soft music. The bed was comfortable and the owners were attentive to our needs. We couldn't recommend this place enough, and we hope to stay here again.

Thank you so very much for thinking of us! Unfortunately we are booked Saturday and we do not host children under 12. We are a small historic Inn full of glass and antiques. May I recommend the Elizabeth City Bed Breakfast? They are causal and might have availability. 252-338-2177, Enjoy your visit and thank you again for the inquiry!
