A mid-century modern boutique, hotel in the heart of downtown, The Durham is a vibrant destination, inspired by the spirit of its namesake city. Featuring modern interiors and local collaborations, the rooms at The Durham have been designed by Los Angeles-based firm Commune to be warm and residential, making guests feel right at home. The Durham is a restaurant, coffee shop, rooftop bar and private event space in The Durham Hotel run by James Beard Award-winning chef Andrea Reusing. The seasonally changing menus highlight the abundance of high-quality ingredients grown and made by North Carolina farmers, cheesemakers, brewers, distillers, bakers, and fishermen who are longtime partners and friends of Chef Reusing and her team.

The Durham Hotel is centrally located downtown and can be reached easily by car. Valet parking is available. The facility is nice and clean as well as the service staff was friendly. Easy check-in / check-out. The rooms are big and well equipped, there is a coffee service available in the morning. Wifi works well as well as the air condition (important at 105F outside). There is a rooftop bar on top of the hotel which is nice for a drink or two. Only four of five stars given because of the bad experience at breakfast. For hotel guests there is a choice of two small items (muffin, ginger bread, eggs) and a coffee. This is not acceptable at such a place!

Love this hotel; I stay here every time I come to Durham. Can't beat the location, cozy sleeping rooms, and the rooftop bar with a sunset is the best. Food is great and fresh ground coffee delivered to your door in the AM is a nice touch. Staff is always super friendly.

Gorgeous and whimsical mid-century modern hotel located squarely in the center of Durham's business district. Easy walk to restaurants, boutiques, Duke's campus. Great decor and good food. Perfect for a weekend break...and then there's live music on the top-floor bar!

This hotel was everything you want in a nice boutique hotel. The Night on the Roof package is an excellent value. The rooftop cocktails were fabulous and the bartender (Bryce!) was knowledgeable and friendly. I wish that I had booked more nights at The Durham. I had split two nights in Raleigh and just one in Durham. The continental breakfast wasn't a feast, but it was enough to carry us to lunch and had excellent, tasty offerings. I hope to get back to Durham again. I'll definitely stay at The Durham again.

Everything about this property has been absolutely amazing. I have no complaints and I will be returning in the future. My only regret is not visiting the rooftop bar during my stay but I will be sure to do so next time!
