The hotel is beautiful--that speaks for itself. The staff is amazing. Manager Tom is professional, personable, accomodating and it is obvious that his staff respects him. Every person in every role was friendly, polite and you could tell that they like their job. We were a loud group of 167 cribbage players in a tournament in this hotel for the first time. While there was some groaning about not enough food and bar time, that is to be expected in the climate with live in for the service industry being so short handed. Food and beverage manager Christina (spelling) was amazing, to say the least. I teased her that she must have a room at the hotel because she was always doing something to help us from breakfast until bedtime. The food and drinks were all excellent, and they tried to keep the bar open later because of our tournament schedule being so long. Events manager Catherine was also super professional and helpful. Shuttle driver Randy was a delight. There is no doubt that the powers that be will choose this hotel as our new yearly site for this major event.…
I stayed here this past weekend for a special event and I swear all I can say is WOW!!! I was wowed from the moment I pulled up until the moment I pulled off. I pulled up to this gorgeous property and instantly wanted to sit on the rocking chairs out front. The young african american lady at checkin with the short hair was so inviting and knowledgeable. She recognized that I was an honors member and even told me of the recent changes to the honors benefits. It seems like they had a few sports teams in house and even some sort of convention going on. However this did not get in the way of anything. I never heard any children being loud or experienced any wait due to all the hotel guests. The pool was nicely lit at night and pretty warm. I really enjoyed sitting outside on the lawn furniture. This hotel is very inviting and I would definitely stay here again. The bartender was very attentive in the evening even though he was pretty busy. The only thing that I would mention is that while the breakfast was amazing they did not have any oatmeal. They did have a ton of fresh fruit options so i was very happy with what was presented.…
I have had 2 one night stays here in the past 2 weeks. I wanted someplace convenient to the airport without needing to worry about highway traffic in the morning. The staff is very friendly, they make a point of walking around the desk, give you your keys and direct you to your room. I ordered food from the restaurant for dinner both times. One week I ordered off the menu the next I ordered their scampi special. Both times the food was served fairly quickly and by friendly staff. The room is slightly dated but was clean and convenient. I did not have breakfast on either stay. My only complaint would be the stairs at most entrances. If your hands are full and managing a suitcase on the stairs is difficult then you will want to use the entrance at the back of the hotel to avoid stairs. Overall a pleasant stay, quiet and an easy drive to the airport. I used the route that avoided the highway which I like better.…
Curt and non-proactive receptionist who did not listen to her customers. The room was noisy: a continuously dinging elevator and a loud drone from the ventilation system....all night. Price on the high side, breakfast adequate but no more than that.
The Shuttle driver greeted us with a Big hello and smile, Charlie checked us in with above and beyond customer service (with gooey delicious cookies of course and Elizabeth made sure we enjoyed our dinner at the bar with wonderful wine selections :) The bed -SO comfortable…definitely recommend this hotel!
The staff and location are perfect. Being located in the center of the state and right off a major highway made it so easily accessible for out of state attendees to get to and any items we may have forgotten were easily attained at nearby grocery stores and big box stores. I whole heartily recommend this hotel for any conference and that's why we have used it before.
Excellent accommodations and staff. The minor issues were the shower needed more water pressure and the TV needed light/dark adjustments. Easy proximity to roads and interstates and plenty of nearly dining accommodations.
The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming and I got a warm cookie on check in !! The amenities were all open and available, which in this day and age is a surprise. The room was clean, although a little dated, but perfect for an individual night's stay. Bed and pillows were comfortable, coffee machine and fridge worked well, and the TV was easy to navigate. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
Location convenient to I-40 and NC-147. Maybe a bit challenging to find for the directionally challenged since GPS may bring you in from the back of the property instead of the front depending on which direction you're coming from, and some of the streets are more like driveways than named roads. Very quiet location in the RTP business park; although it's an "airport" hotel, air traffic noise was never an issue here. The grounds are one of the most beautiful for a hotel I've stayed at, in a way that brings peace and joy driving up to the property and walking around outside. The lobby and common areas were also well-designed and had a rustic feel. The room was comfortable, average for spaciousness, and beds were firm to my liking. Good shower/tub water pressure and temperature. Breakfast buffet selection was excellent and included bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, grits, fresh fruit, and more. I received $15pp F&B credit as a Hilton Gold member which covered most of the $15pp breakfast charge (i.e. breakfast here is not free which means it's not super crowded), though tax and tip resulted in a few dollars charge. Drinks are served by the waitstaff rather than self-serve, though they are included in the cost of the buffet. Definitely hope to have a reason to stay here in the future!…
Had a one night stay before a flight out of RDU after a week long business trip in winston salem. The property grounds are clean and nice, but the rooms are a bit dated. What made this a 5 star experience was the hospitality and professionalism of Wayne at the front desk. Although the front desk was very busy, Wayne was extremely professional, made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to make sure we knew where our rooms were and where the different amenities were. it's amazing how a 10 minute interaction with the front desk can make your impression of a hotel. Thanks Wayne for your kindness!
