We stayed here while visiting Duke Medical Center for a night, and when we were held over an additional night there was no question of where we wanted to stay. The property is beautiful, the staff are friendly, helpful, and really welcoming, the breakfast is real and tasty (!!!!!!!), and the grounds of the old campus and surrounding neighborhood are perfect... Each common area and every uniquely decorated room feature magnificent materials and appointments. From bowls, vases, lamp shades, hutches, mirrors, headboards and much, much more, our amazement was non-stop. The creative combination of fabrics and materials makes it a joy to just walk through the hall-ways. We stayed in the Saunders suite and we're thrilled with the additional room adjacent... More

The King's Daughter is in a nice quiet neighborhood. The hotel pays attention to every amenity, right down to two glasses of port on one's bedstand prior to bed. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable and larger than a standard hotel. The only thing that I missed was a gym but I made up for this lack by walking extensively... More

Our son was married in Durham this past weekend. The entire wedding party, including parents, stayed at the KDI Friday-Sunday. We hosted the rehearsal dinner, welcoming reception, wedding "after party", and Sunday brunch there. We could not have selected a more perfect place! From my first tour and conversation with Denel, I was put at ease that every detail would... More

My son and I stayed here during a college tour, and it was outstanding in all the ways other reviewers have remarked. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the location convenient, the breakfast ample. The management was gracious and I observed them bending over backward to accommodate a family who appeared to have misunderstood the accommodation they booked. Finally, I... More

The rooms are very nice, each one is unique. the service is perfect. The staff is friendly and competent. They will truly help you with any problem that you have. At the end of the day, one finds a small glass of port and a chocolate in the room.

This is a great place to getaway and especially for a staycation. It is also great for showers, business meetings or small weddings. This hotel purposefully became green. This was my first experience staying somewhere other than typical chain hotel. My husband and I enjoyed our one night stay here. There was intrigue and charm that is so much more inviting than a chain hotel. However, I noticed certain plywood panels on ceiling in our bathroom which I found odd. For the prices they are charging I wouldn't... More

I stayed at The King's Daughter's Inn for one weekend in February 2016. It is probably the best inn/hotel I have every stayed in. The staff is excellent and friendly as can be. The breakfast is delicious and there is a great selection of food. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and has tremendous atmosphere. It doesn't get any better... More

I had an amazing stay at The King's Daughters Inn. Everyone on the staff was focused on how they could make their guests' stay the best experience possible. I had recently had surgery and needed to remain in Durham for follow-up appointments so I chose The King's Daughter Inn, it was the perfect choice. Denel was always offering help with... More
