I stayed here for one night. What a delight. I had business at Duke and this place is right across campus and was a five-minute walk from my meeting in the West Duke building. The hotel was built in 1925 and was used as a home for elderly women until 2005. All the rooms have a unique look - my... More

We live in town and had always heard good things about the Kings Daughters Inn so we booked a one night stay. The good: lovely building and furnishings (they keep the unoccupied rooms open so you can peak into the other rooms), location, friendly staff, great showerhead, recycled laundry water to flush toilets. The mixed: the tea selection was good... More

Thank you for your review, TarHeel! We definitely try to accommodate every one of our guests with as many luxuries as we can. One unique thing about us, and Durham in general, is our casual demeanor. You can wear a pair of blue jeans for a night out at Mateo and a walk to DPAC! We at the King's Daughters... More

We just stayed three nights and slept very well all three. There was a party at the end of the hall on Friday night that was keeping my wife awake. We told a staff member who brought immediate quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The head board, in fact, had a cushioning that made reading in bed luxurious. We hosted... More

We were looking for a place to stay near the Duke University campus. Most search engines were spitting out the usual brand-name motels, but the navi system in my car pointed me to The King's Daughters Inn. What a find! As I understand it, an apartment building was converted to create the inn. Each room has its own personality and... More

We are so happy you were able to find us, Bob. Thank you for leaving a review, helping us get the word out on our hidden gem status! :) The Inn's first life was a home dedicated to the care and support of elderly widows. It wasn't until the Crossman's purchased the home 7 years ago, and with many progressive... More

Great place, perfect for returning to Duke with my girlfriend for Homecoming. A short stay, but everything was perfect while we were there. Really cute and homey feel, felt very comfortable and with a little rain outside barely wanted to leave the Inn.

Stayed three wonderful nights. The room was tastefully appointed. The bed was so inviting and comfortable. The shower was amazing! The breakfast was tasty. The staff helpful and pleasant. The location is next to Duke University. You can walk to DPAC, Carolina Theater and other downtown attractions weather permitting. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I visited here for business literally picked a spot minutes before midnight on the road. We were like what is this?! Lol! But walked in and felt like we were in an old country inn. It was beautiful! All of the rooms are different and it looks like a big cozy house. The front desk lady was... More

Outstanding room, comfy bed, clean room and bathroom. Beautiful and quaint boutique hotel with loads of charm! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked to order with daily specials. The food was perfectly prepared and presented. They even made me a smoothie when asked!

I live in Chicago and found a killer last-minute, mid-week, why-the-heck-not plane ticket deal. I'd never been to North Carolina and decided to just take a day off by myself and explore. I had one night to myself and wanted it to be special. I'm a very discerning traveler and have been to my share of both B&Bs and "high... More

Look out Windy City! What a review - and thank you so much for taking the time to rate us on tripadvisor! We truly try to accommodate our guests with the highest quality items possible. This extends to our décor and amenities, of course, but also the little things, that discerning eyes pick up on. We genuinely care about our... More

The rooms are wonderfully cozy and elegantly decorated. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast consists of their amazing homemade granola, fruit, yogurt, scones, cereal, always hot coffee, and warm breakfast made to order. It's actually amazing that you can get this much from a B&B, for this price. The water pressure in the showers is also incredible.
