We had a 2 bed condo on the third level. It was nice, a little outdated inside, but clean and comfy. The amenities were great! The outdoor pool is huge. Beach access is nice but would be difficult for the handicap to access. The staff was super friendly. We had no issues and would definitely stay there again.

Almost ruined our vacation. Filthy dirty. Mold. Red ants. Toenail clippings. Poor Carpentry thoughout the property. I could go on. Staff was not helpful. We left early and found a decent spot in Hatteras. Close to the beach though if you don't mind being mad about your room as you enjoy the beach.

This is a fantastic vacation place! There are great amenities! 2 pools, 1 outdoor and 1 indoor, basketball court, shuffleboard, BBQ grills, lifeguarded beach. Daily activities for the kids and fantastic sunsets! We stayed in a 2 bedroom with 2 pullout sofa's; the unit was on the 3rd floor, plenty of stairs, but, we could use the exercise. The unit... Just returned from a week at the Barrier Island Station resort vacation village. Since this resort is comprised of several groups or "stations" under various forms of ownership I'll confine my comments only to the Kinnakeet Station and the common areas. The buildings have undergone a rehab of the outside surfaces including the stairs, porches and patios. The interiors have... More

Most of the buildings have new siding and windows in them, which helps with the outside aesthetic (but also detracts, as construction material is kind of just laying all over), but rooms are way outdated! We had a three bedroom/2 bath for a week. The furniture was very old and mostly uncomfortable, including mattresses. The fixtures were outdated, aside from... More

Second trip this year - a week long visit with grandkids. We stayed in our own unit (unit 109) and looks the same as it did 10 years ago inside. The outside has been upgraded to vinyl siding. Hoping the inside will be done by the next visit. The unit was clean, check-in was prompt. Minor issues with a light... More

We have been coming here for 11 years now and love this resort. We are owners and would buy into it again. Lots of amenities and lots of family activities. Maintenance fees are around $600 per year. Great place to stay in the off season and holidays.

The property overall is about the best u can do for a condo in Duck. Great outdoor pool, basketball court, tennis courts, indoor pool and rec room for kids. Close to the beach (depending on which building you stay in). We stayed in building 200, which is privately owned and ridiculously updated in comparison to the time shares operated by... More

We stayed with a friend in a 3 bedroom condo, besides being on the top floor and having to climb the steps (which I needed to do) this was a wonderful place to stay, while the inside does need to be updated, the condo was spotless and had all of the amenities you will need to spend an entire week.... I see other reviewers were disappointed in the interiors. I agree- they need work and they are getting it as soon as exteriors are completed. Despite "roughing it" a bit, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great beach - nice pool- walking to town and beyond on the lovely Boardwalk were all very pleasant experiences. Touring the Corolla beaches to... More
