The units were still being renovated eventhough it was to have been completed by the beginning of November. With the porch doors open the construction hammering of porches was from 7-7..and siding and more porches to go. The indoor pool was warm and well maintained, even after a power surge cut off the heater and pump..it was back running within...

Great view. Our building appeared to be the highest elevation in Duck --could see both the Atlantic Ocean and Currick Sound at the same time, and the sun rise and set over the former and latter. We did experience a leak in the dinning room when it rained.

We stayed at Barrier Island Station Duck Oct 22-29, 2016. This was our first and last time staying here. We were surprised when we checked in at the Visitor’s Center; the building is in dire need of updating and repairs, exterior paint chipping off in large areas, old worn out carpet and décor, interior had a musty smell. As we...

Perfect location to visit the beach since the resort is on the beach. Indoor and outdoor pool was nice as well as the beach. The check in and check out was quick and easy. We went in October which is off season so no crowds. I would/will stay here again.

The room was dated but it was clean. They have a large pool. They had their own beach access which was very nice. And having a full kitchen and washer and dryer is a huge bonus. All in all this is a great place to stay. We didn't have any issues with our room. We would definitely stay here again...

We booked a week in Oct 2016, Just before Hurricane Matthew hit the shores. The weather was fine and the Ocean water was warm. We had a one bedroom looking out to the pool area and the Ocean. The room was spacious with Bar, living room and dinning room. They even have a washer and dryer in the Hall. The...

Resort is on the ocean. Great location, if you do not have issues with walking, lot's of shops within a long walk. Staff friendly and accommodating as best they can. Lot's of stairs, no elevator. Our unit was older but they are in the process of upgrading. Bed was comfortable. We stayed in a B unit. We had alot of...

I had a 1 bedroom unit. It was clean and seemed well maintained. The kitchen seemed a bit dated, but was well equipped. I ate in to save some $$ and had no difficulty fixing good meals. Full line of cable TV services, but no DVD or CD player. There was a nice whirlpool tub in MBR, but no TV....

We booked our unit thru RCI and they assigned us one with minimal stairs, since we had 2 disabled people in our group of 4. I called 2 weeks prior to arrival to verify our unit and were assured that our unit had "no steps." (It turns out that every unit has 15 stairs inside.) When we arrived, our unit...

We enjoyed our stay in Duck. The resort was in generally good shape with minor blemishes. Beds comfortable, showers warm. We were disappointed to find a promised DVD player was missing. We were also disappointed that the hot tub was out of order while we were there. There was a windy rain storm and we had to use our coolers...
