We stayed in this quaint, historic inn on a trip to see the Yadkin Valley wineries with two other couples. Situated near many local wineries, it is the perfect location. The rooms are clean and well equipped. We loved sitting on the back porch over looking the vineyards for breakfast and in the evenings to discuss and enjoy our favorite wines of the day! Hannah left plenty of snacks and coffee pods! She was a wealth of information about local history, dinner reservations and the various wineries! Don't miss a stop right down the street to the historic Rockford General store for fresh NC Sonker-think cobbler! We look forward to returning here again for a little slice of heaven!
We stayed at this inn for our annual girls weekend. There are three of us so we rented the entire house, and each had a bedroom and bathroom of our own. All of the rooms were clean and cozy. It is such a peaceful place, and Hannah had everything there you could possibly need. The house was such a pleasure to stay in being as it is such an historic family home. We visited Shelton and Herrera vineyards ( Herrera was our favorite). We will stay here again and visit more wineries next time.
My husband planned a weekend get-away for us and our friends so he gets all the credit for this one. The Rockford Inn is a charming historic farmhouse located smack dab in the middle of the NC wine country. We stayed in the Vineyard Suite which was a wonderfully spacious room with fluffy pillows (and towels), creaky hardwoods and antique wavy glass windows - everything you'd expect from an 1840's Antebellum home. The breakfast was insanely delicious from the Peach crème brûlée French toast and fresh "from the back yard" blueberry/granola parfait to the creamy cheddar "Charleston" grits and country sausage- Superb! And the gracious hosts... I simply can't say enough nice things about Hannah & Doug! They have a natural talent for making you feel so welcome that you'll never want to leave. We will definitely be back SOON!…
Can't say enough wonderful things about Rockford Inn, Hannah was a gracious host. We rented the whole home, plenty of room for 5 adults. The home is so historic and beautiful. Keep the integrity of the historic background but updated where need be. This is a MUST GO, winery's close and town quaint.
This historical building in a historic town was a perfect place for a Bed and Breakfast. Located on the Mountain to Sea Trail it is a perfect respite. I was hiking the trail and my wife met me there for an evening. The room was large and clean and the bed comfortable. The owners went out of their way and made us a vegan breakfast. They were helpful with dinner recommendations and make us feel at home.
