My husband and I enjoyed a great family style meal here. He ordered trout and I ordered chicken and dumplings, which were both yummy. Sides included stewed potatoes, slaw, biscuits, pickled beets, cooked apples, and green beans. All of these were scrumptious, except the potatoes. They were dry. The biscuits were the best I have had! They had amazing sounding... More

If you are looking for room service, a pool, a gym, or a business center this is not your hotel. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the mountains of Western NC this is where you want to be. This hotel was built in 1884 and the only thing they have changed is they added electricity and bathrooms to... More

This is a very old inn and is in the process of being upgraded. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was good. We had one small problem but the owner was very gracious and made it right. We will go back and stay again.

Enjoyed one night at the Jarrett House for the annual WNC Pottery festival. The staff was very friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable. One thing that some might not like was the absence of a TV in the room and although free wifi was advertised, we did not get a signal. Neither of these was an issue for... More

We seldom complain and can usually find the upside to most situations... but this property was very disappointing. It is definitely old to say the least and did not live up to our expectations based on the website and marketing. (Kudos to whoever made the website. It makes the Inn look very inviting!) The staff was friendly and pleasant, but... More

I have never written a negative review about a hotel before. I feel bad to have to do this, but our stay was disappointing. Five years ago, my husband and I stayed at The Jarrett House, and it was adorable. This time, we brought our two little boys with us, and it was a very different experience. Our room was... More

Stayed here one night while visiting family. It's an old inn and it definitely shows its age. The room we stayed in was very roomy and had two full beds and a bathroom with cast iron claw bathtub. The plumbing was slow to drain, but I am sure it's due to age. The room did not have a tv, but... More

Loved this place 6 years ago but the food has changed. Had the chicken dinner and the breast had a large cut in it. The chef must had to see if the chicken was cooked and mine was the ginny pig! The piece was as dry as one can make it. No I did not ask the waitress for another... More

Thanks for the charming review. I sure am glad you like the Jarrett House. You are right you should have asked the waitress to bring you another piece of chicken or a different entree. We would have been glad to do so. At least we did make sure your chicken was cooked LOL. Seriously, anytime you have an issue its... More

We ate lunch here on vacation in Dillsboro. The general aura of the house was very country and cozy feeling. The staff was friendly and the house was clean. The tiny biscuits that came before our entrees were delicious! I ordered the fried chicken with buttered potatoes and honey glazed carrots. I found everything delicious, but the portion was huge!... I had laugh at being compared to Cracker Barrel~ but I can kindof see it as far as atmosphere goes. Big difference with food ...ours is scratch! Come back and try our vinegar pie! More

Cute, cute place. Will stay here again. Has several rooms with antique beds and furniture. Host was very nice. Breakfast comes with the stay, southern breakfast at that. Right off the 23 easy access to Silva. Just opened a new restaurant called Coaches.
