An inexperienced traveler might think this is what to expect from a Bed and Breakfast which is why I am writing this review. I will admit that I was blindsided by good reviews on Trip Advisor, none of which mention the breakfast at all, but had I paid closer attention I would have noticed that this B&B, while the most...

Wow, where to start? I had never stayed in a B&B before I, George, was stationed in Germany. I started staying in Gasthäuser (German, Swiss & Austrian B&Bs). Two things I enjoyed: one, they respected my privacy and two, they loved where they were and let me know if I had any questions about what to see and do, just...

I stumbled upon The Chalet Inn while searching online for a nice place to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary. The pictures and everything I read sounded so wonderful, but due to past experiences with different hotels, I was nervous on our way there. What if it wasn't at all like I read? This trip was so important! I wanted...

Wonderful. We availed ourselves of the good wine from their little Stube and sat in front of a fire George kept roaring the whole time we were there- the perfect end to days of good hiking in the Smokies. They graciously upgraded our rooms. Wonderful hosts, delicious food, great inn.

Hanneke & George have an eye for detail down to the last iota of perfection. From the cleanliness of their Inn to the meticulous attention to the 26 acres of trails to the perfection of the construction all wrapped in breathtaking views. Just like a good waiter, George & Hanneke are always their for you but have created a peaceful...

We visited the Chalet Inn for our 2nd wedding anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate. Their high rating is so deserved as Hanneke and George make each guest feel welcome, comfortable, pampered and relaxed. We stayed in The Overlook in the Chalet Suites (a building just up the driveway from the main B&B building.) This is...

Wonderful and friendly guest house and hotel on the edge of the Smoky Mountains. Unique, high quality accommodation in a beautiful setting. We had the Overlook room, with stunning views across the mountains. It was well equipped with a jacuzzi bath, steam shower, Apple TV and WiFi, a wall fire, two balconies and rocking chairs both indoors and out. Hanneke...

My husband and I where leaving Atlanta for a few days to Celebrate our 25th anniversary. I decided to leave a day early and find a place to stay in WNC. The Chalet Inn looked good on line and booked it. What a wonderful surprise. George and Hanneke were great people, warm and inviting. The place is immaculate and very...

Our entire stay in the B&B was filled with wonderful extra details and effort everyone made to ensure our visit was exceptional. On arrival when you park, you are greeted by a staff member. Your name is displayed on the sign out front, specifically welcoming you to the property. It reinforces the impression that you are an expected and special...

The inn keepers are pleasant and very willing to make your stay comfortable. The Inn is secluded but not far from the center town of Dillsboro. The drive up to the Inn is elevated but not difficult. The Inn is very clean and peaceful, so if that's what you are looking for this is your place. It's not necessarily for...

Can't say enough about how pleasant a stay we had. There for a full week, using it as a base for riding the great roads in the Smokey's on our motorcycles. Hanneke and George run a wonderful place. It feels more like you are staying with relatives (that you LIKE!) than a commercial establishment. From Hanneke's great breakfasts (delicious and...
