We stayed in Johnny's cabin, it was very nice and clean. Staff was very polite & helpful with anything we needed. Hotel is a historical hotel and has lots of historical information throughout the Inn.
The room included breakfast each morning which consisted of both hot and cold options that changed daily.
We stayed here multiple times over the course of visits to the area and then while buying a home and finalizing our purchase. We love staying here! We enjoy the suites, breakfast, friendly/helpful staff, beautiful...
Wonderfully hotel, great prices, extremely friendly staff, and they have free breakfast!

In deeply peaceful surroundings, intentionally created by the Adawehi staff and volunteers, there are two rooms offered as a B&B. Mountain views, trees and deep quiet are powerful medicine for stress. But wait (you guessed it), there's more. At the top of the stairs...oh, did I mention the exercise program? <grin> 3 flights...well, maybe only 2. Either way, the walk is inside on a carpeted stairway. Like everything else, it's first class and built to purpose...in this case, quiet. At the landing is a large common area with big screen TV, large comfortable sofas and an oversize, full bath. To either side are the sleeping rooms. Very comfy mattresses and pillows, excellent closet space, glass and wrought iron table, chairs - all beautiful. Friendly people. On site greenhouses and a full grocery featuring hand-made and just-picked foods for there or to take home. Maybe 5 minutes to Columbus. Oh by the way, Adawehi Institute offers a range of services, so this could be a perfect landing spot for personal or couples retreats...or quiet weekend walking the trails and meeting some amazing people.…
My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Adawehi B&B 3 times now. We love the clean air and warm welcome we always receive from the natives. My absolute favorite thing is the fresh baked goods they deliver to your room in the morning with a pot of delicious coffee. Love walking the grounds, checking out the garden, and shopping at the local organic grocery store. Cannot wait for our next visit. -The Bailey Family
I have stayed at the B&B in the Adawehi Community (Columbus, North Carolina) five times over the past three years. My wife travelled with me for two of those visits. We have never been disappointed. The setting (in the Blue Ridge foothills just east of Asheville) is stunning. The grounds are beautiful and lovingly maintained. We are always greeted with warmth and hospitality. The gracious treatment of guests flows naturally from the community's commitment to the health and well-being of the planet and all who live in it. It would be an overstatement to say that no one is a stranger. We are all strangers to someone, sometime. But at Adawehi, visitors ... strangers or not ... are treated with respect and warmth. The B&B rooms are lovely, spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously maintained. The bath is provided with plush towels and washcloths, and environmentally-friendly toiletries. The bedroom/sitting area is nicely designed and decorated. The bedding is lush, the bed very comfortable. While each bedroom/sitting area is differently decorated, each is also welcoming. Each morning we have been greeted with a continental breakfast tray, served in the lovely common room between the two upstairs bedroom/suites: a thermos/carafe of fresh-brewed coffee, a warm scone, table ware, cloth napkins, cream, sugar. Yum! When you visit, make a point of visiting the community center. It houses several small book and video shops, an exercise room (fees apply), a large area for communal activities, and a boutique and gift shop. And walk the grounds! The paths were all cleared by Adawehi community members, who also have done "plant saves" to harvest endangered plants that are indigenous to the region, and to transplant them on Adwehi grounds. A walk on these grounds will re-introduce you to the beauty of creation, and to the care it invites of us. Yet another opportunity is the Beneficial Foods shop on site. Natural foods, excellent chocolates, great coffee, and numerous products that are creation-friendly. The shop's building is itself another testament to the community's desire for continuity of purpose and performance. If you are planning a trip in this direction, do not miss the B&B at Adawehi ... or the other opportunities in this gorgeous place!…
We stayed at the Adawehi Wellness Retreat for the first night of our honeymoon and it was absolutely wonderful. The innkeepers made us feel very welcomed. The room was really clean and beautiful. We were served wonderful organic tea and fresh made organic muffins. The property is lovely with gardens and walking trails. I would love to stay there again and would recommend it anyone.
