We enjoyed staying at the Twin Lakes RV & Camping Resort in Chocwinity, NC. It has two pools and the bathrooms are clean. The campground has a lot of activities on the weekends, including a carnival weekend that was fun. It is has great access to the Chocowinity Bay for kayaking and boating. The only issues we had were the sandy sites - no gravel and the sewers are individual tanks in the ground. So, you can fill up your individual sewer if you are not careful.
We’ve stayed twice in our TT, 4th of July weekend and Labor Day Weekend. Loved it so much we’ve submitted paperwork and documents to acquire a permanent spot. Looking forward to making many memories! The staff is phenomenal, the amenities and facilities are perfect for families. There’s always something to do!
Campground agreed not to charge after online booking placed us on a “value” site. We had to rent a hotel because the site didn’t have sufficient power. We were told that we wouldn’t be charged for the first night AND we wouldn’t be charged for the move to a normal campsite. Well we were charged again for the full amount of the stay. We paid twice without knowledge. On top of that, our campsite was completely flooded after it rained. Terrible
Poor communication by staffing. Making assumptions on a reservation is uncalled for. They need a better system for RV placement as well. You can’t stuff 32oz of water in a 16oz glass 🤔. Long drive for us for this kind of experience.
