If you are looking for an RV Resort this is not the place for you! But if you are looking for primitive camping with beautiful mountain views, cool air and a wonderful time enjoying nature then you will love it. Our campsite was spacious, had an amazing view of the smoky mountains and the temperature was at least 20 degrees... More

We stayed in a cabin on property. We were told the cabins are primitive which was fine with me but, at night the rats came out of the walls and walked in the ceiling all night. I thought they were squirrels until the second night they were on our beds when we came in for the night. The second night we... More

Camp here several times a year and this trip was great! The views from the camp sites are beyond compare, each trip i have stayed on a different site and have enjoyed all of them. Its so relaxing when the clouds roll into your site. The staff is so friendly and helpful overall great place.

My kids and I camped here this past weekend and had a great time! The campsites are very nice and most have beautiful views! We saw elk at our campsite the first night, which was awesome! Although the bathrooms were made out of plywood and don't have electricity, they were very clean ( one of the first things my kids... More

We stayed here after the recommendation from several friends. We were not disappointed. THE PROS: 1. Amazing, unforgettable mountain views from about 10 sites (1-5) or (19-23). 19a and 19b had nice views also. Some of the 'T' sites are real nice with great views. Just beautiful. 2. Elk visited every night at dusk during our stay in June. 3.... More

Pros: The big draw with this campground is obviously the view. Many of the sites (definitely more than 3 of 27 as suggested in another review) are situated along a ridge with a fabulous view of the valley/mountains in the distance. The campsites are also rather large, and private. Easy access off the parkway. They will deliver firewood to your... More

My husband and I took our 3 young children. We stayed at site 22 because we wanted a sunset view, and boy did it deliver! We were able to see Elk roaming at dusk, which was really special for our kids. We loved watching the sunset every evening, and the start at night were unreal - we felt like we... More

Never ever again. Worst camp site I have ever stayed at and I have done a lot of tent camping all over the country. First of all the manager was extremely rude.. I was tempted to leave without paying due to her insults. Right after I paid her for the site she started insulting me and talking to us like... More

Mile High is very remote. All of the campsites are high out on a ridge, so the views are amazing straight from your sleeping bag at night. The stars are beyond compare as well. The people who operate the campground are very nice and helpful, bringing us firewood for $5 a load. They have a site map on the website... More

We went October 12 and it was very cold at night. The T1-4 campsites are tiny, not really enough room for even 2 tents. But I think they have the best views. The T2-4 do not let you park your car at the site and the bathrooms are a good 5 min walk. The bathhouse is not heated and no... More
