We stayed here while in town in one of the suites. They are very nice! Roomy with a huge bathroom. The owner, Mark, was friendly and courteous. We were looking for food and he was helpful finding restaurants in town. The hotel is in the middle of town and within walking distance of most shopping too. This will be our choice to stay in from now on when visiting Cherokee!!! I would highly recommend this place for your family or business visit.

I loved being in the heart of the countryside. The lodge was clean and the rooms were spacious. Evenings on the porch spent listening to the river, talking, laughing and listening to good music made me feel like I was on my own porch in my dream location. I saw elk and they are magnificent. The surrounding Smokey Mountains are ethereal. There is a little town nearby with great restaurants and fun shops. The Lodge is a great place to stay and the price is reasonable.

We stayed one night after traveling from Asheville, in order to visit the Museum of the Cherokee. The lodge (really a motel) is conveniently located, walking distance from the Museum and most of the "cultural district." The owners were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very small, but they are exceptionally clean. Internet was a bit slow, but available. A very fresh continental breakfast was available in the lobby (because it was too cold for the outside area). There were just a few seats, but it worked for us. apparently several elk walked through the parking lot in the early morning hours (we missed seeing them). It was a very convenient location for traveling from Asheville, visiting the museum, and heading north into the Smokey Mountains National Park. It is right on Rt 141.

We stayed one night on our way somewhere else. The front desk staff was very nice, the room was small, but clean and comfortable. I really liked the bedspread- faux fur- very cozy and added to the cozy vibe.
