Privately owned motel on a main street. The owners are wonderful they make sure everything is going well. Rooms were clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast was delicious. You can sit on the "porch" and watch the ducks and birds and even an occasional elk walking down the street. This was our second stay there and stay again if we go back to Cherokee.

This is our second time staying here and as before we weren’t disappointed. Rates were the best in town. Check in took only minutes. The room was immaculately clean and smelled fresh as soon as you walked in the door. The breakfast provided was wonderful and freshly made. The owners are really nice and thanked us for staying with them. We will definitely be back again.

Really cool place overlooking the main part of Cherokee. Within walking distance to everything. Owners were awesome. Breakfast was better than awesome. Really friendly place to be. The outside ‘bear den’ was really nice to hang out in. I think this place is for sale. It would be an awesome place to have!

I guess my main question is our this motel is rated so high and an award winner on Trip Advisor. Evidently any establishment can be a Lodge. In reality this is a 60s style strip motel. The good, the room was clean and the bathroom has been recently updated. We stayed two nights but our schedule did not match their breakfast which is 8-9 Am only. They cook on hot plares in the office and hand it out the window. As we arrived someone was walking past our room and asked if our refrigerator worked? We checked, opened the door, smelled and rusty like it had been shut off a while. The room where the ice machine was at was old and dirty, it also held the microwave. There is one, everyone shares it. Again, not terrible, but not what we expected based on all the reviews, and the Lodge being a Trip Advisor award winner.

Very clean and quaint. We read reviews about the excellent breakfast, and it did not disappoint! Cooked fresh, along with fruit and rolls. Autumn visit, trees were perfect! Even had bench seats in front of lodge to relax on. Bed was comfy. Actually had good functioning tv channels, something you often miss in hill country.

Stayed two nights at beginning and ending trip on Blue Ridge Parkway. Very motorcycle friendly. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. No lights over sink so made shaving difficult. TV was fuzzy but tolerable. Will be back.

Our room was small but very clean. There was a fridge and coffee pot in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. There were elk in the parking lot in the early morning. The location was fantastic. We could walk to the museum, play, and shopping.

Way overpriced, cheap damaged nasty looking furniture, chipped up toilet, cramped room with barely enough space for queen bed, plastic still on lamps, tiny bottle of watered down shampoo, no conditioner, toothbrush/paste. Front office lobby was a huge piled up mess of supplies.

We love staying at this hotel. The owners are very accommodating and the rooms are super clean. My husband and I want peace and quiet and this place definitely gives just that. The breakfast tortilla comes with onion, green peppers, mushrooms, cheese, has fruit and cinnamon roll on the side, coffee, juice,( FREE!). I highly recommend staying at Rolling Hills lodge as we have named it our Happy Place. This week was the second year visiting. Can’t wait till next year when we return. Please give this one a try, they will not disappoint!

This motel was so different from what we're used to. You recieve a key instead of a key card, breakfast isn't the usual hotel set up; it's made fresh. We had delicious peach orange juice, wonderfully strong coffee, fruit, a slice of coffee cake and an omlette tucked into a tortilla - so good. There isn't an actual breakfast room with tables and chairs, but a covered porch with upolstered chairs and high end tables. Many stores are close enough to walk to, Harrahs casino is minutes away, and Bryson City with it's train ride is 10 miles up the road. Nice room with a comfortable mattress. Money well spent.
