Horrible! We still waiting on the remote to turn the TV off lol. Room had no remote for tv, we had to ask for towels. We had to ask for tissue. We had to ask for the trash to be taken out. Grant it, I understand we living in COVID times but I thought the whole point of being “open” is because your establishment has taken proper steps to be “open”. They advertised (on the tv we could not turn off) all the unique ways they were keeping guests safe. What they need to advertise and say is that you will be responsible for obtaining your own towels, tissue, and trash removal while paying to stay here. Oh and mind you...there was no room service. Yet at like 7:00 a.m. we hear “room service” being yelled in the hallway as someone was trying to enter another room. I’m like the irony of it all. They did NOT live up to a typical Marriott. Never again.

Dear T8287LOandreaf, My apologies for your overall disappointment with the level of Housekeeping service provided during your stay. We are trying to limit the number of contacts made in guest rooms and public spaces due to the pandemic; however, certainly are happy to service your room upon request. I am also sorry to hear that the remote control for the television was missing in your room and was not replaced for you. I realize these situations do not represent the type of service you have come to expect from Marriott; and hope that in the future you will allow us another opportunity to better your experience at our hotel.

Trying to find a covid friendly birthday experienced for a 10 year old can be difficult. After doing a lot of research I decided on doing one of the American Girl Everything Pink packages. You can imagine my disappointment when our first room was nothing pink. It was the standard American Girl package. My husband ran down to the front desk. We were moved a few doors down to the correct room. It was so cute and perfect! The staff was great about getting us moved and making sure we had everything we needed. The staff remembered our girl's name and kept telling her happy birthday every time they saw her. There were some mild issues that I don't think are worth lowering the rating over. The first room we were in had a grape stem left over. We mentioned it when we switched rooms. No one is perfect and it was tucked into the back of a chair. The grab and go breakfasts are pretty basic. It's basically cereal or yogurt. It worked fine for us, if you prefer a more substantial breakfast there are other places nearby to get food. My daughter and I struggled to get comfy in the beds. They were too soft for us. If you prefer a firm mattress you may want to consider a different hotel.

Nice room, Comfortable Bed(thankfully) Good service. While working in Charlotte I chose the Southpark Marriot. The staff was very accommodating. The room was clean nice and comfortable. Everything I can ask for. Not too much to write as I was in and out. Great none the less. I would stay here again.

Very nice, conveniently located, practically new hotel near Southpark. We stayed here when our power at home was knocked out overnight in a winter storm, but I would happily stay here for business travel or vacation. The room was comfortable and spotless and the staff was friendly and helpful. Five stars for sure!

I don’t like to say negative things without talking to management first, but when I asked for a manager I was told the MOD was the restaurant manager and he was busy and when I called and asked that the GM call me, no one did. Check in was great. The desk clerk was very gracious and welcoming. There were fresh baked cookies in the lobby. Perfect start to a romantic Valentines getaway. About 5 the noise started. There were Catholic School basketball kids there for a tournament. The yelling and screaming continued until 11. We went to work out and the exercise room was filled with pre-teens. We tried to get to the front desk, but the area was super crowded. I saw an employee and told them about the kids in the exercise room and they said they would see it was taken care of. An hour later we returned to the exercise room and there were more kids and a little girl who was using the elastic ropes to pull herself across the room. There were no adults in sight. When my husband went to the desk the next morning, he was told yes we had a lot of complaints. Three women were working the desk and he told them we had some free time during the day and asked what there was in the area to do, any festivals, anything exciting going on and their response was “No Charlotte sleeps on Sunday.” We returned to the hotel Sunday night and the rewards lounge person went out of her way to be kind. She even went to the kitchen to find me a special tea. Everything was fine until the next morning when we realized our coffee was not replaced and I got in the shower only to realize that none of amenities had been replaced. Nothing worse than standing in a shower with wet hair and an empty shampoo bottle. When booking groups in a hotel that you know may be loud, you should block those groups together and keep your other guests separate. Also even if your staff doesn’t know area events there should be a newspaper or handout for them. The hotel itself was clean and the rooms were comfortable and modern, but with the lack of quality management I would not recommend it.

Dear Barbara S., I am so sorry to hear about the interference and noise caused by other guests of the hotel, which put a damper on your Valentine's getaway. I also want to apologize for not having the amenities replaced after the first day of your stay. I would also be very unhappy to step into a shower and find that there was no shampoo to use. I understand that these are not the types of situations that you would expect to happen at a Marriott; nor are they what I expect to hear has occurred at our hotel. I appreciate your feedback and can assure I will follow up on these situations. I realize that there are many hotels to choose from in our area and hope that you will allow us a future opportunity to serve as your host again and offer you a much better experience!
