Always stay at Marriott hotels and are proud rewards members, but this hotel did not live up to standards. Pulled in and sat in front of hotel waiting for advertised valet that never showed. Due to Covid this amenity has been suspended, understandable, but note this on your website. After travelling 5 hrs was looking forward to the M club only to find out after getting there that this amenity has been suspended also. Once again, understandable, but not on the website...strike 2. So upon finding this out, hotel offered up 2 dry salads that they charged us $18 for and $10 to park ourselves in their dingy basement. Next morning, nothing as far as complimentary breakfast either. At least Residence Inn gives box breakfast. Get your act together Marriott, you've had plenty of time. But I wont visit you again.…
Pulled up to valet parking and waited.. finally went inside and was informed valet was suspended. A sign or an update on website would have been nice. Mclub and all food options are not operating due to Covid. Motel room are small but upgraded. We were traveling through on our way to Florida, and chose this hotel for the supposedly amenities, which were all suspended. Would not recommend staying here.
Clean but dated. Friendly staff, OK gym, good location, and looks like restaurant had a nice wine selection. Reasonably priced. Rooms were clean but small. Not busy but couldn’t give much in the way of upgrades.
We stayed here with a wedding party. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was fairly spacious and had a nice counter to put things on. The shower was great. The only downside was the hanging part of the closet was maybe 8" wide...one man's suit and one dress filled it up. There were shelves for other items and two drawers (one under the coffee maker). Also if I were there on business, there was no sitting desk/area. There was a table you could move but you'd have to sit on the couch. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. And the location was terrific. Self parking was only $10/day.
If you have stayed at other Marriott’s in the past; don’t expect the same quality here. When I first arrived at the property I pulled up to the valet area (they aren’t currently offering valet due to COVID, fair enough) and was immediately met by some random person that I later understood to be an employee. I’m currently attempting to unload a substantial amount of luggage out of my vehicle alone; rather than greeting me or asking if I needed any assistance he kept barking off orders to me to move my vehicle. I explained as soon as I sit my stuff down I will move the vehicle; his reply was he needed me to go ahead and move my vehicle. I responded once again, once I sit my stuff down I will move it, he said “like sit it down in your room?” I stated no and I pointed once again I will leave my things at the front door to fulfill your demands. I asked a couple of questions on the chat about finding a pool that may be available in the area where I was replied to by Wes. He stated they did not have a pool on property and stated day passes were offered at their sister property. I asked if he knew how much those were or how they worked, he replied no. I feel like the staff can’t be so overwhelmed that they can’t go beyond the “required scope of reply”. It was made clear to me they had no desire to help me figure it out so I took to google to figure this out alone. I also request some dental kits to be sent to my room via the app as TSA decided to take my tube of toothpaste at the airport. The kits never arrived but the app certainly showed them as delivered. The chromecast on the tv doesn’t work and the WiFi barely works at best, don’t attempt to do much business-related work. The furniture in my room showed heavy wear and tear. The chair, couch and bedsheets in my room were heavily stained upon arrival. All of the restaurants are bars were closed (again I understand COVID is occurring) although it seems strange considering the rest of the city is open and doing its thing. Later that night upon trying to use my mobile key to access the front door it didn’t work, I had to knock on the door to finally be greeted by someone helpful and pleasant. He stated the mobile key has a lot of issues and he made me two physical keys. Overall, I feel the property was an absolute let down and the staff need a bit of customer service training. Out of numerous staff members I interacted with there was only one that was professional, pleasant, and helpful. The hotel is overpriced for what you get, there are MUCH better options offered in the uptown area! I hope the hotel can get a grasp on their staff and what they have to offer on the property as it has huge potential in my opinion but falls very short of other Marriott’s I’ve stayed at.…
