There was mold in the bedroom and bathroom. So they changed my room. However the new room was infested with gnats and dirty sheets. I didn't have the energy to go back to the front desk. I SLEPT FULLY DRESSED WITH A HOODY ON. I ALSO USED MY OWN DIRTY CLOTHES TO MAKE A PILLOW.
While checking in a roach ran across the front desk and the clerk, using my credit card, knocked it off desk with a look on her face hoping I didn't notice the vermon that scurried across. I'm an understanding person and gave the hotel a chance anyway because I was certain the room wouldn't have the same pest problem. Wrong. Not only did the room have a roach problem but also issues cleanliness. I killed around 6 roaches before I laid down just to be awaken by a roach crawling on my face. Enough is enough so I contact front desk and tell them about bug problem and request another room or a refund in which he replied that he would only refund half the cost if I check out then or I could come get some roach spray from front desk. Apparently nothing new. This was the first and last visit to any Budget Inn because I expect this incompetence for cleanliness is a chain-wide characteristic.…
The hotel seems hidden, as I drove down the road I got this unsafe feeling. I came in to the lobby to find a poster saying the police department does not allow them to rent to people from certain zip codes. Behind the counter was a TV screen showing at least 8 video camera feeds. I asked the guy behind the counter if I was in a really bad neighborhood and he said "it used to be really bad but it's okay now". Honestly, I took the tables and barricaded the door because I still felt uneasy staying here. The fridge was dirty and unusable, and the bathroom area smelled of urine. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the TV got ESPN, and there was enough furniture to put in front of the door.
Got room 6/25/16.. Left on 6/26/16..This motel was horrible. Stay away from it. The pics are a LIE. My grandson 8 years old said, "Ewwww grandma this room nasty".. Filthy room. Microwave nasty, bottom of toilet disgusting. Bad smell in the room like sour, noisey loud ac. No chair to the desk and I called the front desk several times to complain, they always lie. But on top of all the disgusting stuff I seen, at 2,3 and 4am different ppl came knocking to my door looking for someone that said they had my room for drugs. At 4:30am I left that room and came home. I was in complete shock. Never ever stay there. They need to condemn it. Its garbage and a waste of money.
As two young girls travelling the states alone, we ended up running out of money pretty quickly and having to stay in budget hotels. The room seemed dirty (I don't know if that's just because it's slightly outdated) and neither of us used the bathroom (we were there for one night) or even slept in the beds. We used our coats to lie on the bed. Basically if you're looking for the cheapest of the cheap and don't really care- this place is adequate. But we didn't feel safe at all staying here and neither of us slept very well as the room didn't seem secure.
