Decades before The Dunhill Hotel would open, local architect Louis Asbury Sr. was entranced by the great Italian craftsmen who created cathedrals famous for their soaring, elegant roof lines. Today, The Dunhill Hotel stands distinct on the Charlotte skyline, an amalgam of American, British, and Italian influences, something those with an eye for period detail can detect. Opened in 1929 as the Mayfair Manor apartment hotel, with half of its original 100 rooms permanent residences, today's Dunhill Hotel is a thoughtful evolution. A full restoration was recently completed, and various on-going aesthetic improvements all share a common goal--to celebrate the original vision of Mr. Asbury, with a nod to the needs of the modern traveler.

The Dunhill Hotel is a boutique hotel, in a great location with lots of walkability to a variety of venues, and convenient parking including valet or self-parking. The staff is friendly, available, and accommodating. Christina at the front desk was on top of every request. Dinner at Asbury was delicious and relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable resulting in a solid nights' sleep - thank you! We enjoyed a brief stay at the Dunhill and would highly recommend to couples, business guests, friends' trips, etc.

Absolutely stellar customer service and accommodations. Christina (sp?) at the desk was especially helpful and pleasant. Having worked in the hotel industry in Charlotte in the past, I can tell you this place has the best band for the buck have down.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The uniqueness of the rooms and the friendly staff made our date night fantastic. Its prime Uptown location places you steps away from all that downtown Charlotte has to offer. They even offer turn down service and have a cute bar right on the premises. We will definitely stay here again.

After a long day of canceled flights by American Airlines, we received a voucher to stay at one of their hotels used. We randomly chose the Dunhill. The only highlight in the wee hours of the morning, was finding this gem of a hotel. The wonderful smiling face of Lawrence was the most genuine kindness that greeted us at the door. Immediately to follow was the great Kevin behind the front desk, calmly and sweetly working his way through all the reservations that had also been flooding in last minute due to airline malfunctions. The hotel is adorable, but these two men turned what had been terrible so far, into a awesome experience. If we make our way through Charlotte again some day, I'll stay no where else other than the Dunhill. Thank you both Lawrence and Kevin. You should be proud! Sincerely, Sarah & Sean Kupper

Had a lovely stay at the Dunhill. The staff were incredibly positive and friendly - especially Badriyah who really made us feel welcome. And Taylor, our server at the Asbury, was a very pleasant and calming presence. Would love to come stay again the next time we visit.

The service at Dunhill is exceptional. As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted by kind staff who held the door for us and carried our bags to the front desk. The experience got even better we met Baelriyah, who gave us great recommendations and even better laughs. She went as far as sending us complimentary champagne to kick off our girls trip! 10/10 would recommend.
