Small company meeting held here with several of the team members spending the night. The meeting room was comfortable and the food service was excellent. My room was a true "classic" and I felt completely comfortable and at home. The rooms aren't fancy but the service is great and the facilities and gardens are very special. I truly enjoyed walking... A beautiful old mansion that makes you feel like Scarlett O'Hara will be around the next Corner. Nicely renovated very spacious rooms (most Hotels would call Junior suites) overlooking a beatiful garden within the nicest neighborhood of old Charleston. Taking a stroll in the morning looking at the houses was fantastic. Breakfast was a bit Basic but ton of fresh... More

We rolled into town for an overnight stay on a cross country road rally with our car club to find that the power had been knocked out at the Duke Mansion the day before. They said we could stay without power or wifi, but that they would transfer us to another hotel at a discounted rate if we wanted. We... More

From the moment I called to make a reservation I had nothing but a 5 star experience. Anytime I encounter the staff they were exceptional, polite and called my husband and I by name. The grounds were beautiful and well manicured with many little places to sit off by yourself. Big inviting porch with rockers. The inside was breathtaking. With... More

This is the old mansion of a member of the Duke family converted into a 22 rooms bed and breakfast. The grounds and the house are magnificent. Great clean room with excellent airco, great bed and well functioning bathroom facilities . Breakfast included.

Room 204 was a delight! We had a shared sleeping porch available to us. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast offered 2 cooked selections daily plus a full breakfast buffet. The grounds are gorgeous with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery. The Mansion is set off on a beautiful residential street. We attended a... More

Great place to stay in Charlotte. Wonderful old building that has been modernised without losing its charm. Great bedrooms and very friendly staff. In a quiet neighbourhood but easy access to downtown. Great place to relax. Good breakfast.

A group I am involved with had a large dinner event at the Duke Mansion. We began the dinner outdoors. We were given bug spray for mosquitoes, if we were so inclined. It does get humid and hot in Charlotte, but it was quite a lovely thing to have the garden and patio all ours. The ambiance was very nice,... More
