This hotel is located at the Epicenter. I sat in my room and watched fireworks the first night of my stay. The room was very clean and I loved the setup. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Top notch customer service. I will definitely stay at this location again. It is in the heart of uptown Charlotte with restaurants and nightlife at every corner.

Wow! Marriott does it again. This property is BEAUTIFUL! The rooms are very well laid out, and beautifully decorated. The front desk staff are very friendly and answered any questions we had. I’ve heard no loud noises from other rooms or in the halls, very peaceful. The view from the rooftop is amazing! Room was clean and had a lot of cool features like a swivel tv and lots of outlets.

New property in the heart of downtown Charlotte, right in the middle of all the action. Great location, great staff, very comfortable rooms. Since it's new, there's no wear and tear, just barely broken in. If you need to be in downtown Charlotte and know the Residence Inn brand, you'll know exactly what to expect - full kitchen, dishes, cookware, etc., nicely appointed bathrooms, plenty of new towels. Staff is very knowledgeable about the area and property and southern friendly. Breakfast is as you'd expect from a Residence Inn, I like consistency, so I'm happy with it. Parking is not inexpensive, but that's downtown Charlotte. Valet is only $2 more than self parking in the EpiCentre, so just pony up the extra bucks plus the tip for the valet and get on with your life. The only knock on the property is attributed to the location. It's in the EpiCentre and that's great except for Friday & Saturday nights if you're in an even numbered room. We were in 1804, friends in 1504, got back to our rooms a little past midnight on a Saturday night and had to endure the very loud music emanating from one of the nightclubs in the EpiCentre until 0200 when they closed down. They were prompt, they shut it down at exactly 0200. So if you're not at that bar partaking until 0200, make sure you request (and hopefully get) an odd numbered room facing away from the EpiCentre. We've stayed at the aloft in past years and it has the same issue. Friends staying at the Omni across the street have also said the same. Regardless where you stay near the EpiCentre, get a room facing away. I spoke with the GM regarding the noise, believe me they're aware of it, as are all the other properties in the area. They're working with the EpiCentre on it, but I wouldn't wager on anything happening until the lease is up on the offending venue. Don't avoid this property, just get a room on the side facing away from the racket.

There are several things I have to say about this hotel--some good, some bad--that I wish I had known. Pros: Cleanliness Extremely comfortable bed (the best hotel bed I've ever slept in) Updated Apartment-style rooms with a kitchenette (microwave, fridge, toaster, sink) Living area with pull-out couch Updated bathroom with large shower/great water pressure (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash dispensers in shower) Fabulous view of the city (at least from my room) Directly across the street from the Spectrum Center Connected to Charlotte's EpiCentre (also a con) Cons: Connected to Charlotte's EpiCentre--we were on the 19th floor, and the music from the club below us was so loud, we heard all the words to the songs--until 2 A.M. both Friday and Saturday nights. You have been warned! I wish someone had told me! I had earplugs, but they did NOT block out that noise! Breakfast was just functional--nothing special at all (waffles, bagels/English muffins/croissants, oatmeal with toppings, biscuits/gravy, chicken or turkey sausage, cereal, fruit). It might have been better had it been replenished, but I went down around 9 both mornings and things had not been restocked. No one appeared to replenish anything the entire time I was there. Parking is $30/night through the valet. $30!!!!!! The young lady who handled our check-in said we could self-park at the EpiCentre for $28/day. Ridiculous!

As titanium Marriott travelers we’ve come to expect exceptional service. This RI disappointed as they did not fulfill our Marriott app or follow up phone call requests for refilled shower amenities. Great, clean location with otherwise friendly staff.
