Hotel's Favorite
On August 7 the weather at Charlotte airport and mechanical issues with American Airlines caused our flight to Providence to be delayed then cancelled. Several re-bookings/delays/flight cancellations later we made a reservation at Springhill Suites. Arriving by Uber we were rather rudely informed that they were overbooked and that we would have to go elsewhere. (Yes, we had a confirmation number and a Bonvoy guarantee so it was a huge surprise).
We called Drury Inn & Suites on Red Oak Boulevard and Miss E. lets us know that she had space and that "I got you." This was at 2:44 AM August 8. When we arrived she couldn't have been more welcoming and kind. We were tired, discouraged and anxious. She was a real comfort. In fact, I asked if I could give her a hug (she accepted it). Finally, at 3:35 AM we laid our heads down, having travelled since 10:00AM the previous day.
Miss E. is nothing short of wonderful.
In the hospitality industry the front desk personnel is literally the face of the business. Oftentimes they are the first point of contact with the public and the impression is made right there, good or bad. She is a keeper and should be applauded. Even at 3:00 Am she was busy fielding calls while we were checking in. She handled it all professionally and with a sense of genuine caring.

The hotel is beautiful and pristine! The location added to my feeling safe, and the well-lit grounds for walking my dog were perfect! They also include food/drinks that were delicious! Stay here! My room was spotless and the bedding smelled so clean! This is the best hotel experience I had on this particular trip, and one of the best in my life. They are doing everything right! Guests wear masks when outside of their rooms, the remotes were wrapped for safety (after being sanitized), the bedding had a delightful faint smell of bleach (which I loved)! I trust this hotel and will be staying with the chain in my future travels. Thank you!!

I'd never stayed in a Drury property before, and I've traveled a lot globally. Have stayed in everything from a backpacker hostel (in my younger days) to 6 star hotels in Europe. This hotel was perfectly comfortable, staff was extraordinary: professional and friendly. Amenities such as the happy hour (2 free drinks and so much food you can skip dinner) and complimentary full breakfast make it a great value. The only caution is to get a room away from the highway, probably especially on a Saturday night. It sounded like a drag race for a few hours before I went to sleep. Wish I had read the earlier reviews with this advice as I could have had a more peaceful evening. I would stay here again, but on the other side of the hotel, definitely.

Great location..... Very friendly staff..... The evening drinks and food are a great bonus. I would stay here again for sure! As a matter of fact I will seek out other Drury Inn locations based on my stay at Drury Inn Charlotte Arrowwood. We stayed for 3 nights so and their good customer service was not a fluke. ***During this time of Covid room cleanings are not done without a reservation so make sure you sign up.

We chose this location bc it was conveniently located near our favorite restaurant in Charlotte, as well as the heated indoor pool. Unfortunately we ran out of time and did not get to utilize the pool area but it was nice to know it was heated for the wintertime. We always enjoy the cocktails and evening food and breakfast is equally pleasant. The icing on the cake was the staff at this location! Most hotels have friendly employees, but the front desk and food/beverage staff well over exceed normal expectations.They all seemed to make a point to smile, greet, and start a friendly conversation. Very accommodating!!

My girls and I were traveling and exhausted and wanted a hotel with hot breakfast. Could not find any, until we found Drury. Breakfast was served very safely and with great care and it was delicious. The beds were comfortable, the room was lovely. The only thing, and this is so minor, was that the TV remote was very bare bones and it was a pain to surf through all the channels without a "Guide" so that we could find a show all of us wanted to watch after a long day of travels.

We stay at Drury Inns all over the country, and have yet to encounter a bad one. This one features a large, well-appointed and well-lit lobby and dining area, with the usual drinks and snacks at the dinner hour. It has a nice pool and hot tub (indoor here), and the rooms are modern and clean, with lighter toned furnishings that make the room feel a bit bigger and more welcoming.
Our two suggestions for improvement are the same here as elsewhere: use king size pillows on king size beds (we learned long ago to carry our own), and install refrigerators with a freezer element so that those of us who use dry ice on the road can refresh it overnight.

We are never disappointed at Drury Inn. This hotel was clean and had a great location. It had a Ruby Tuesday's right in the parking lot which was super convient. The have one of the least expensive pet fees and are always so accommodating to put family with 4 paws!

Myself and my children have stayed there in the past and truly enjoyed the stay. We went to Carowinds and explore around town. We enjoyed the pool each night and we loved Love's the breakfast that was provided. The rooms were clean end super comfortable there was enough space for me to have privacy in the bedroom area, and space for the kids to Lounge in the living space. It was really great having the two televisions, where the kids could watch their shows and I could watch my things in the room. It was very helpful should have a mini fridge along with a microwave. The front desk what's more than accommodating and the staff what's super extra friendly. These people definitely know their job and they seem to really enjoy it, thanks for making our stay great.

Quality and Value with genuinely professional and personable staff on our recent July 30th - August 2 weekend stay provided us with an outstanding stay.
Starting with the warm and informative welcome, we moved right into the relaxing daily “Kickback” cocktail and hot food selections from 5:30 to 7 PM.
With a 24 hour gym, indoor/outdoor pool and a generous morning breakfast buffet, the Drury experience is significantly above the norm.

Thank you for inquiring. The nearest CATS stop is bus stop #56 across the street from the hotel at the corner of Arrowood and Hebron Streets. The Lynx Blue Line light rail station is one mile from the hotel on Arrowood Road. The Charlotte Convention Center is 7 miles from the hotel. It was definitely sketchy! I kept looking out the window because there were some guys hanging out. Come to find out a few of the "workers" were friends with them. When I made my noise complaint the on clock clerk knew exactly who I was talking about.
My advice: Find another hotel. This one is not it!
