I've stayed at Super 8s throughout the region. Work makes it so I can't always make it to spend the night in my own space. Super 8 provides a consistent, no-hassle place to stay the night without devastating my finances, so I'm a regular customer. That being said, Super 8 is typically the sort of place that I don't really expect or demand, "the extra mile," given that it really is a no-hassle, no-frills type of establishment, and markets itself as such. From time to time, I do have a customer service experience that not only surprises me but also elevates my perception of the business (including places I'd grown comfortable with what I expect from a visit). Tonight, I had just such an experience while being checked in by Geena. Geena and I have had multiple check in experiences, all friendly, but tonight she really made me feel like the hotel is happy to have me as a guest and genuinely wants my business. Somehow, there was an issue with my payment card that I had used on Priceline, and rather than writing me off as having a third-party issue, Geena was able to go the extra mile and help me resolve the issue without me having to get lost in a tyranny of customer service help line computers and call centers. I've had this same issue happen to me at hotels that charge much more and demand an entire production be made of the check-in process. Those hotels, however, fail to deliver the same accommodating and personable service that Geena provided to me here at this humble, interstate Super 8. Service like Geena's, where it's no secret that we are both human beings and not just transactional robots, makes me happy that I chose to go with this establishment instead of shelling out an extra 10+ bucks for a different location, just because its brand is associated with a higher star rating. Overall, this Super 8 is a clean, mellow location to spend the night, but is really only as "luxurious," as you ought to expect (except for some nice Matrix brand shampoos and conditioners). What makes this spot exceptional is how the customer service is personable and human, making it a more pleasant place to frequent as a customer. I'd recommend this Super 8 to anybody who wants low-cost yet comfortable accommodation, yet still enjoys a place that doesn't feel like it perceives you as just a corporate transaction number.…
We decided to get outta town before being held hostage by our gov again! This hotel was too expensive for what it is this season, what it offers and how hard it is to get into without having a wreck! Then when you get there and if you need to use a walker or wheelchair to get to your room there is no ramp access up onto the curbing and once inside you though you do have to do a switchback ramp to get down in the hole for the first floor access to the accessible rooms. They did have coffee and tea the next morning but as with other hotels in the covid era no other snacks or foods offered other than the snack machines. We did not expect the continental breakfast though so we were not disappointed there. Where I was miffed a bit was getting a call about 7 am that they wanted me to move my truck that has a carrier for an ECV on the back of it and the scooter was also on the carrier. I had parked out front beside three other cars at the very front of the building at the corner and maybe I wasn't in a spot, but the parking lot was virtually empty with only about 10 cars in it that night and we both had to unload walkers to use to get to our room. The call came with a kind of threat that someone wanted to have my truck towed! So I got my self ready and took my walker out to the truck and cranked it to let the windows defrost and a hotel employee I guess getting off from the night shift pointed me to the handicap parking spots that were futher away and then she got in her car two spots over from my truck and I just waited for her to leave and parked in her spot there! Problem solved as far as I was concerned! BUT THIS IS THE LAST FRIGGIN TIME I WILL STAY AT THIS PLACE! we are big time wyndham rewards points people and its a good thing I burned some points on this place to get a discount I'd have hated to pay their rate for the night to stay here…
This is my 3rd time staying and everyone here is nice especially Gina at the front desk, she was amazing. Its a delight every time we check in. She is really nice and kind and informational about your stay. Definitely will come back to stay!!!!!!!!
not acceptable service. charged my card and didn't stay and didn't refund charges after talking to owner spent the night at next exit at super 8 and was charged for both rooms on same night. please refund 1 charge
The rooms were old dirty and many appliances need to be replaced. But the biggest problem was mold all over the bathroom ceiling. I would not stay in this hotel. It needs to be cleaned and updated!!!!!!
