We recently stayed at the Graduate in Chapel Hill, NC, It was within walking distance of the University of North Carolina campus and lots of great restaurants and shops on Franklin Street. The room keys and decor share fun facts about graduates from the university. There was even a little basketball court where you could play!
Loved staying at this beautiful boutique hotel. Friendly staff, fabulous decor and amazing location. Must stay when in Chapel Hill. The indoor carpet basketball court was fun for the kids. Wish we could have stayed longer!
There was no room service. There was no valet. There was no bellman. Dining experience was more like a club. The beds were 12 inches off the ground. I rarely write a review, but this was not a 4 star experience. I paid $500 for this hotel room for one night. Extremely disappointing. Location was great.
When i asked for a cab i was given a driver number she was 1 hour away. You’d expect a taxi company dispatchers number or a car service number. Morning no Ubers around the area as well. I almost missed my flight. Middle of Chapel hill. But kinda out of no where. All they need to do have important numbers.
Coming in for a student tour at UNC, we chose Graduate Chapel Hill for our one-night stay. We had a wonderful experience. We were greeted warmly at the front desk and each and every employee was friendly and attentive. The rooms were crisp and clean and the beds very comfortable. The location was ideal and in close proximity to the college and restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend.
The Graduate in Chapel Hill is a wonderful place to stay (especially on game day). You can park and walk to Dean Dome. Location, location, location! Walking distance to great restaurants too! The hotel is an overall cool experience. The Michael Jordon replica dorm room and basketball court are located on the second floor. Such a fun place for kids and teenagers to stay. The rooms are extremely clean and the way the hotel is decorated is fun!
The Graduate is super stylish and accommodating. Very conveniently located on Franklin Street and within walking to great restaurants and bars! We enjoyed a drink in the bar before walking to The Crunkleton and then to the Lantern....a perfect evening out for parents!
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Chapel Hill. Staff was helpful, professional and friendly.. Rooms were clean and attractive. Comfortable bed. Food service limited but many choices in walking distance. Highly recommend.
My wife, our 2 small children and our dog stayed at the Graduate for a long weekend recently and this property knocked it out of the park. Traveling with small children can be stressful but the staff went out of their way with early check ins, helping with a room switch (preplanned for an upgrade at the end of our stay and not at all due to an issue with a room), late check out and even recommendations for meals. The location is unmatched and the property is excellent with comfortable, great sized rooms. We are already looking for another time to come back. If you are heading to Chapel Hill this is the place to stay!
Location is great!! Check in was smooth and the lobby is very inviting. The room was big, but that’s the only positive. There’s no heat in the bathroom!! It was absolutely freezing. Had to run the hairdryer to warm it up the whole time we were in there. The fan for the heat in the bedroom was so loud it sounded like a freight train. We couldn’t watch tv because we couldn’t hear it over the heat. I even tried turning it down, but the fan wouldn’t turn off. Got a 4 am wake up call, but we didn’t ask for a wake up call! The man on the phone argued with me, at 4am, telling me that I was on his list. He should have apologized and just hung up. Was never offered a receipt at checkout, and I still don’t have one. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Carolina Inn!
