Newer hotel. Category 5. If you like super modern and minimalistic, you’ll love this place. The pillows were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! However, we could not figure out how on earth to get ice out of the ice machine. Housekeeping did bring us some. Mattresses were very firm which kept one of us up all night. I wish they offered a choice. The room was nice and clean. Coffee was offered in those paper trays….it never tastes good. The location of this place is super convenient (within walking distance) to Panera and McDonalds for some real coffee. Parking is not free and spaces are dinky, so beware if you drive an SUV or truck.

Room Tip: Parking can be a pain if you don’t drive a small/medium car. Spaces are not generous in size.

We’ve stayed here numerous times with a college student nearby. Convenient , decent, friendly I’d give this hotel fairly high marks for what is...unfortunately our last stay here (with an uncrowded hotel ) the hotel decided to put us in the worst room. Which one is this? The one on the second floor facing Patana Bob’s — a large, and rather loud, college bar. Could not get to sleep until it closed. It’s almost as if the hotel staff had it in for us — which I can’t imagine that would be the case as we’ve always been very nice to them. Very disappointed in the room location and the hotel staff for putting us there. Plus it’s the longest way from the elevators. Make sure you ask for a room NOT facing the bar.

1-star hotel. Bar/Club right outside my window. Music plays all night long. The drums and base from the club are non-stop. I called down to the front desk and asked if it ever ends, and they say the club closes at 2am. Not a place you want to stay if you want to get some rest.

This property was 'good enough' for a night (to break up the drive from DC to Charleston and catch up with a few friends), but nothing more. Room was clean, but dark, AC smelled like an old pair of sweat socks so we left it turned off. I asked the front desk clerk to point me to a shop where I could walk to buy a bottle of wine. He googled and directed me to a store called winestore, nearly 3 miles away. On my own, I googled and found Imbibe, just two blocks away. Underground parking was a nice amenity, but I caution you to drive a small car. Entry and exit is difficult. The architect who attempted to fit the parking garage under this postage stamp lot should lose his or her license.
