The room was modern, decorated in rich rustic wood tones, good a/c, flat-screen TV, with plenty of channels bathroom small but functional, with lots of hot water. This hotel is well kept, lobby is nice, with a den to relax, as well as a front porch with rocking chairs. The outside atmosphere is peaceful and quiet with trees and bushes... More

Very casual, comfy motel made up of several buildings, gazebos and children's playground. We stayed here 30 years ago and it still had the original charm with the addition of several new buildings. We stayed in a newly refurbished room (carpet still smelled new) but it was so dark and dreary it was not very inviting. We had a king... More

Hi, Thank you for your review and was pleased you enjoyed yourself. We did contact the TV provider after you mentioned the TV that night. We were in the middle a huge rain/lightening storm and evidently they were having issues everywhere! It's unfortunate that it was dark and rainy during your stay as that couple with our heavily wooded setting... More

Quiet and secluded but close to everything. The grounds are simply beautiful, our room was clean and restful. Definitely the place to stay! Staff was really pleasant and helpful. Make sure to spend some time hanging out in the warm and cozy lobby!

The inn is a warm quiet place in the mountains, the suite had all our needs and then some close to town and close to all the area had to offer , the owner and management where warm and friendly and filled us in all the area had to offer, some great suggestions on places to eat at locally, made... Stayed at the Laurelwood Inn in Rm 303 from July 29th through the 31st. Room was large, spacious and decorated nicely. The bubbling brook out front complete with large rainbow trout was a nice touch. Staff/Owners were very nice and very attentive. It is very close to the center of Cashiers with several really good restaurants within easy walking distance.... More

So glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for such a nice review. Just wanted to mention that the hair dryer was working but they do have a built in GFI red button that sometimes needs to be pushed in in order for them turn on. Think I might make a small card to put next to hairdryers in... More

A lovely secluded property nestled amongst the trees in the beautiful mountains of Cashiers and near the crossroads with a multitude of shops at your fingertips . Wonderful landscaping with ponds and fairylit gazebos surround the rooms, and a nature trail is available for walking. Rooms are small but impeccably clean and nicely appointed. The staff is warm and wonderful,... More

Had to be in Cashiers for 3 nights and needed a place to stay . Had stayed there before 20 yrs ago and was glad they had a room. It was extra nice after some hectic trips and chain hotels to check in to a room that was like moving in to bed and breakfast. Room 109 is on the... More

I stayed at this in for an overnight in Cashiers while attending a wedding. The office manager was extremely welcoming and helpful. My room was a queen room next to the office. While the inn is older, I found my room to be immaculately clean. The inn does not have spectacular mountain views, but it has a nice front porch... More

After reading the reviews I thought this sounded like a good place to go for our 50th anniversary. The outside appearance was o.k but parking was crowded, no turn around space. The room had a squeaky floor that you could feel give when you walked. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper and what appeared to be a smoked up ceiling over... More

After 21 years of owning our inn, one thing I have learned is you can't please everyone all the time! Here is a recent review from the same room the above guest stayed in. "Sheets and towels were perfect. Beds were very comfortable unlike many we have stayed at." Another, "301 is a wonderful room, be sure to ask for... More
