If you are not a dog lover or allergic, this is not the place for you. The 2 next door started whining and baying on the shared balcony at 5 a.m. The other dogs in the hotel joined in. Then there was the one outside our door barking as its owner got coffee. We were the only non dogged people there. Owner nice all else okay.
Upon my arrival I was greeted by the owner and the property manager. The owner then preceeded to take me on a tour of the inn, showing me the little extras. They have coffee in the hallway with real creamer, not the powered kind (unless you want it), extra towels, and a bowl of necessities in case you forgot to pack yours (toothpaste, etc.) The room was very cozy and opened up onto a balcony with rocking chairs. I was traveling by myself and never once did I feel uncomfortable. My only issue was it was not ocean front or ocean view but I knew that before booked it. If I go back to Carolina Beach in the Spring I will book at this place!
My husband and I got married a year ago in Carolina Beach and of course we had to come back for our first anniversary! We had a great stay at the Carolina Beach Inn. Thank you to Debi for being so accommodating and welcoming my husband and I at your place. We stayed in the mermaid room and it was just PERFECT! Enjoying the coffee on porch with my hubby was awesome! We will be back for sure! Thank you Debi :) Debi goes above and beyond for her guests! Jessie and Matt
This Inn is a gem in the sea of non friendly dog motels. It is not only historical but has been totally renovated. It is owned by a super nice lady, Debbie, which I met late one evening while frantically searching for a dog friendly room. She was so gracious and acommodating. She not only booked my room over the phone but also ending up meeting me at the Inn to get me into the room and she was not on premises. I was trying not to inconvenience her while getting my things to the room but it began to rain as I was removing my baggage from the car. As I hurriedly ran for the porch, she met me and demanded I let her help. She quickly grabbed my bag and up the stairs she went. Now that is good old Southern hospitality from a New York lady. In addition, she took a few quick minutes on the top balcony to give us quick bearings and a dash of history before heading off. I found her advice on restaurants to be right on and her taste in ice cream impeccable. The Inn was kept by another nice lady named Amber. She was super helpful as well and did much of the painting in the Inn. Each room has it's own theme. Later in my stay, I found their wall of fame. Numerous letters and Thank You cards from well satisfied dog loving clients. I count myself among them. Even though this Inn is dog friendly, every night was peaceful and without noise, so note Great place to stay for anyone. I am so Happy to give these fine ladies a five star rating. Ole and PS, they have FREE ice on the porch for your beach cooler and Free beach chairs you can use. SWEET!!!…
This is a little gem. Close to the beach and everything else. Quiet, clean, and friendly owners and staff. We had the queen suite with a living area, kitchen, dining area, and bedroom. Decorated like a true beach cottage. Wish we had planned for a longer stay. Looking forward to a return trip.
