Good room, clean bedding and grounds. Staff is very cooperative and hospitable and after staying on a weekly basis, we have learned about updates that are occurring in the winter in bathroom and shower areas. If any criticisms it would be how the salt air has rusted out showers, hinges and metal products inside the rooms. Knowing there will be... More

We stayed for a Friday thru Sunday weekend in late September - our first trip to the lower Outer Banks. The area? Fantastic - quiet, beautiful, relaxing. The weather was great and the local food offerings were very satisfying. The hotel, however? A rather large disappointment. Thank goodness we at least got the slightly reduced "non-peak season" rate of about... More

Overpriced. Room was clean, refrig. Ironing board and coffee maker. But is very outdated. The fixtures are old, not enough lights and the bathtub was old and rusted. But the staff is friendly and there is complimentary ice tea, juice and coffee all day.

We had just completed three wonderful days in Beaufort, NC where we stayed in a lovely B&B, and were now on our way back north. After a few hours driving and taking ferries, we arrived at our pre-reserved destination. Bearing in mind that a hurricane had passed through the area a few days before, we were looking forward to a... More

We stayed here 2 days and enjoyed it fully. The beach was very close by, 3 min walkable distance from the room. Few people in the beach and weather was great when we were there. Room was very clean and nice. No breakfast, but they had juice and coffee in the lobby.

We stay here every year for our vacation but not out of a sense of loyalty. My boyfriend always wants to stay in Buxton specifically, so Hatteras Island Inn is the best choice there. It's a good price, only a block from the beach, and is clean. The hotel is a little shabby but we haven't had issues with broken... More

We spent a night on our way from Washington to Florida. The place is really poor and room number 102, at ground level, which we preferred because travelling with a disable kid and no elevator, was wet humid, with rusts everywhere and smelling mould like crazy. Extremely expensive for what they offer too. Avoid it.
