Didn't have in reservations and just stopped at this lodge. Not sure what to expect, as this is a older lodge. Just needed a place to stay the night. The room was large with a kitchen area. Room and linens were clean. Nice yard out the back of the room for activities.

I stayed here while visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mt. Mitchell area. I give it a very good review. This is an older property, but no matter; the location is so quiet and peaceful that I definitely recommend staying here. The inn is ideally situated for anyone wanting to do activities around the Blue Ridge Parkway. For cycling, hiking, or just sightseeing by car, it is just a couple miles off the Parkway. The hosts, Debbie and Van, are very helpful and responsive. I checked out a day earlier than planned (not due to any issues) and they promptly adjusted my bill. They also gave me some good information about cycling to Mt. Mitchell. There are only a couple of places to eat nearby, but the one place I did go to had good food. Also, the room has a fridge and stove. My cell phone service wasn't good in the valley, but the room has good wi-fi if you choose the right server (they have more than one). Room A/C worked fine as did the fridge. The bed was comfortable and the TV service was good. Overall, I recommend this inn and would definitely stay here again.

We spent a weekend at Albert Lodge and will definitely be back. The lodge is a quiet, lovely place for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation. Lots to do in the area & the hosts, Van & Debbie Roldan, couldn't be more gracious or accommodating. The rooms are clean, spacious & equipped with 2 queen sized beds, a small kitchenette including a coffee maker, small refrigerator & microwave, flat screen tv & free wifi. Each room has a patio with a panoramic view of the mountains. If you enjoy clean mountain air, quality hosts and beautiful surroundings, check out Albert Lodge at Mount Mitchell; you'll be glad you did!

We stayed at this inn. The owners were extremely welcoming . We were kind of nervous because we were out of our comfort zone but the owners made us feel like family. They greeted us if they seen us . They made sure we had everything we needed . I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a welcoming , quiet , relaxing environment . The room was clean and spacious. There was a circular swing looks like a dream catcher that the kids can play on . They also had activities while staying there such as a bonfire for the guest. We had no complaint and was more shock of what we had for the price :). I highly recommend this place and will be back visiting . You’re about 20-25 minutes from town . The roads were amazing to drive . The view points on the way to town or the way to the motel were beautiful. We couldn’t think them enough for the hospitality they gave us .

Decided to take a solo hiking trip to the Mountains Memorial Day Weekend . Checked in on Thursday - Sunday. Room was very clean and everything was in working order. The best part of this experience was Van and Debbie the owners who are hands on with everything . I felt like family from the time I checked in until the time I checked out. Van had so much hiking information etc. Yes the rooms are dated , but that gives this place its charm . I would not have had it any other way !!! I will be back soon
