The Everett Hotel is in the center of Bryson City’s historic district and overlooks the beautiful town square. This luxury boutique hotel is an ideal location to place you in the midst of great shopping, galleries, magnificent mountain views, unique on-site dining, and discovering why Bryson City is honored to be called “The Gateway to the Smokies.”
This place is a gem. The owners have put thought and care into everything they do. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, the rooftop fire pit is a lovely place to gather, they have a self-serve coffee area waiting with piping hot coffee each morning, and warm cookies and brownies are provided each night as a special treat. The room price includes a full breakfast in their beautiful little restaurant downstairs. Breakfast is only available to hotel guests, so it is relaxed and cozy. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful place. Ps. Do yourself a favor and book your dinner reservations in their restaurant "The Bistro" when you book your room. Their restaurant is the #1 rated restaurant in Bryson City on Trip Advisor. It is #1 for a reason...its outstanding. Bravo to the owners for doing everything right!…

The service during our one night stay was over the top. Best place to stay in the area. Room renovated and repurposed from original vintage building but motif fits the place. Ask about the chocolate chip cookies!

From the time you walk in the door to the day you leave, you feel more than welcomed. We spent two nights in this lovely hotel and will be back. Outstanding accommodations with detail to the small things. Great breakfast and evening cookies are included,. Rooftop seating is amazing! Kudos to the owners and exceptional staff. Keep doing what you are doing!

Stayed in the 2 room suite. Awesome décor and ambiance. Breakfast was so delicious! The Bistro food is excellent. The mattress was the most comfortable I'd ever slept on. Ron helped me make a meeting happen because I had forgotten a crucial element and he unselfishly provided a replacement by allowing me to use some of their equipment - he made the trip right there.

My husband and I enjoy boutique hotels and this one did not disappoint. We had Room #1 on the second floor for one night. It wasn't huge but it was well-appointed and clean, no complaints. The shower was large with good pressure and plenty of hot water. The AC worked great on a hot day. The host was very friendly; all of the staff we met were pleasant. There is parking in a lot behind this 1905 building which used to be a bank. We had dinner in the Bistro downstairs and it was very good; breakfast the next morning which came with the room was excellent. Coffee, tea, water and cookies were available at a service station on our floor. The hotel has a nice rooftop deck with seating - nice place to cap the evening. One note: The stairs are steep and could be an issue for some guests.…

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! The hosts are fabulous and the breakfast that comes with the room is delicious! We dined in the Bistro twice also excellent. The beds are comfy and the self service coffee, tea and daily cookies also a treat. We hope to return!

Overall we loved our experience at The Everett, and had only one negative comment! (see below) The staff was super helpful and kind, and very accommodating. Upon check-in, the lady walked us through the hotel and showed us where all the amenities are and walked us to our room. It really felt like we had walked into an inn from a Hallmark movie... they even serve warm cookies to their guests at bedtime! This was a highlight of our trip and felt so homey. The bistro has a great breakfast that is included in the room fee. It's not just a continental breakfast either- it's a full menu of breakfast choices and it's cooked to order! We were not able to have dinner there, however, because it was fully booked. They did ask if we wanted them to try to fit us in since guests have priority dining, but we didn't want to bump someone else who had already reserved a table. The one downside for us was that our room (Deluxe King Rm 9) had no windows! We think maybe it was an attic room that they turned into an en suite room, but they neglected to add any windows. I feel like this could be dangerous in the event of a fire, and it definitely did not add to the otherwise nice stay that we enjoyed. Also, I don't recall reading when I booked that there were no window in the room, but maybe it was something that is noted and I just missed it. We would stay there again, but would make sure to ask for a room with a window.…

This small boutique hotel is an absolute gem. There are only a few rooms so be sure to reserve early! Each room is shaped and decorated differently, but you can pick your room on the 2nd or 3rd floor when you reserve your date(s). Each room is shown and described on the website. We chose a corner room, King Suite Room 4 on the second floor, because we wanted to have different views from all of the windows. The service from the moment we checked in until the time we left late the next day was beyond belief. Upon arriving, Kira (so sweet and accommodating) checked us in quickly and our bags were taken up to our room by Scott, one of the owners. There is no elevator and we were quite tired from our long journey, so we were happy to let someone else carry the bags. On the way to Bryson City, we had stopped to purchase a cooler and some food provisions to use on our 2 week trip through the Smokies. As soon as we mentioned we had a cooler, and without having to ask, Scott offered ice for our cooler. He promptly got us 2 large bags of ice so we didn't need to go looking around the town to purchase some. Little things like that are so helpful! We were accompanied upstairs by Kira who showed us a small refreshment room where we could help ourselves to cold water, hot tea and hot coffee anytime, and a specially prepared plate of desserts made and brought up for each room around 8pm. It was very yummy! The room we chose was small, but was fresh and clean, newly furnished and beautifully appointed for the style of the hotel! The bathroom was modern with granite countertops. Everything in both the room and the bathroom was immaculate. They made use of every bit of space for the comfort of their guests. We headed downstairs to the Bistro. You can read my review of the Bistro separately. The next morning, we went downstairs to the Bistro and enjoyed a lovely hot breakfast from a variety of choices. The food was cooked perfectly and delicious. We had made reservations to take the train excursion from Bryson City along the Nantahala Gorge, and instead of being made to check out and park at the train station ($6.00 cost), Ron, the other owner, invited us to leave our car parked in the free hotel parking lot until we returned in the late afternoon. In addition, he stored our luggage for us, and loaned us two large umbrellas for the walk to the station since it was raining intermittently. Ron made sure that he was available upon our return from the train trip to give us our luggage, and had another employee take our bags out to our car. We travel quite a bit, and we have to say that they made us feel like very special VIP guests! But in watching how they handled themselves with other guests, it was clear to us that they treat every guest as a special VIP guest!!! You get a lot for your money at the Everett. You cannot do better than this GEM of a hotel!!!…

We had a wonderful stay at The Everett Hotel. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfy beds. It’s a fun, historic hotel. We stayed in the former bank’s office, and our shower was in the old vault—very solid. The complimentary breakfast menu had 6-8 different meals on it. We tried something different each day. I appreciated the gluten free options. We also ate dinner at the hotel one night—hands down, the best food in town! Be sure to make a reservation. They also had complimentary beverages, cookies and brownies before bedtime each night. Convenient to the National Park too. I can’t imagine a better place to stay. Don’t miss this place!

Room Tip:A lite sleeper may want to ask for a room in the back, as there is some street noise in the morning.

This place exceeded every one of my expectations. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, our every need was taken care of. The owners and staff really made you feel like family and one of their own. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was well appointed right down to the last detail -right down to the cushy plush robe included with the room. The wood accents everywhere made the place so inviting. The complementary breakfast was to die for - again, above and beyond any continental breakfast included with most hotel chains. Even though this hotel is in the middle of Bryson on the main thoroughfare (it’s very walkable), the room was quiet and we hardly heard any street noise. We had corner room #4 in the back of the hotel. This place very much reminded me more of the unique boutique hotels found in San Francisco, instead of the bare bones motels found everywhere in the Smokey mountains. There’s nothing wrong with those types of places of course, but if you are looking for to spend a little more and be pampered above anything you would expect, this is the place to be.…
