Tasheeka and Mariah were excellent waitresses! Great personality and they came with a smile every time they came to my table! Awesome customer service skills. I would definitely come back again if I’m ever in Augusta.

The soaking cabana experience was AWESOME! I had originally booked for the evening we arrived to town and unfortunately we got stuck in really bad traffic during our trek into the mountains and missed the appointment time. The owner was super accommodating and allowed us to change our booking time to later in our trip so we didn't miss out on the experience. I am so glad she had availability to do that because the experience was once in a lifetime and the view from our tub was GORGEOUS and filled with fall colors! I booked the soaking cabana as a surprise for my husband and he was so impressed and has been raving about how beautiful and relaxing it was since. The cabana was clean and had fresh water for us to drink. The bath salts smelled so good we ended up buying a container after to take home! The body creme was also skin-friendly and moisturizing. We both have sensitive skin and you could tell the creme was high quality and it smelled really good. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area!

We were really looking forward to this nn because of recommendation plus what we saw on the website. The location is great but the buildings need a tremendous amount of repair and updating. As soon as we walked in to our suite, we could smell the mold. In an attempt to get fresh air in, I struggled to push open the windows which were rusted shut. I was finally able to open a couple of windows as you can see from the photo. The electrical wiring was also of concern. See the numerous cords plugged in. The smoke alarm went on while I was boiling hot water. The portable electric heater which was near the kitchen had just been turned off. But it must have been the combination that set off the alarm. Once we removed the kettle and my husband fanned the air, the alarm stopped. I was surprised no one from the Inn came to investigate. There was also old electrical equipment. I realize it is costly to update infrastructure but I think basic repairs are needed. I did speak to another guest and she said they also had the mold smell. The housekeeper did do an excellent job of keeping the suite clean. The bed linens were fresh and the floors were very clean. The same with the kitchen equipment. We did not use the soaking tubs. Perhaps wherever they were located was in better shape.

This is a beautiful, serene, AMAZING place to stay. My hubby did not want to do a soak, but I booked one anyway - based on other reviews, and it did NOT disappoint! Add this experience to your bucket list! We can't wait to return!

Book this now. Do not question if it is worth the price. This is perhaps one of the most unique experiences you will ever have. While soaking we imagined that this is how the other half lives! Gorgeous view of Lake Fontana from the bath, roof heater above if needed, dreamy bath salts and comfy robes. Total privacy and latch on door to ensure no one disturbs your in the buff soak session!

My husband and I wanted to ride the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson City, so we looked for a place to stay nearby. From the website, Lakeview at Fontana looked wonderful. In reality, it was pretty bad. Upon arriving, there is no one to greet you. Everything is done by text and your room is left open with the key hanging by the door. I will say that the room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable, but there was no closet or hooks to hang your coats and clothes and only three lamps which was not enough lighting to even read by at night. There is no TV and internet/phone was spotty. The thing that bothered me the most was how unsafe the walkways and stairwells are. All of the guests we saw were older (we are in our 70s) and to have stairwells with no railings and access to the rooms where you had to climb over broken cinderblocks and an open gas line are dangerous. They really need do some updating and repair work. The soaking tub cabanas were unusable while we were there since they are open to the outside and it was cold and windy. There is no breakfast provided (hooray for the close-by Ingles where we bought groceries to make our own breakfast). There was no yoga in the mornings. There was no wine and cheese at 5 p.m. as had been advertised. The lounge is dark and there is no one there to sell drinks or snacks although there was a cooler with sodas and water available on the "honor system." All in all, it was a very disappointing stay. We ended up leaving two days early, forfeiting our money because there was nothing to do at the "resort" and it was so cold and windy we couldn't hike or do outside activities. They really need to update their website and be more honest about what is and isn't available. It is certainly not a "boutique spa" as they advertise. We won't go back. P.S. The train ride was wonderful and really salvaged our trip for us!

This should definitely not be called a boutique spa! It is a refurbished motor court that needs a lot more refurbishing! Our room had no decorations on the walls and it was unimpressive. No closets and the kitchen cabinets are for decoration only... you can't open them. You'd expect the bathroom to be nice for a spa experience, but it was old and dirty looking. The pool was closed when we went to check it out, but it had no view, also looked dingy and the area around it is overgrown. Breakfast was sugary pastries that looked like they came from a big box store. You can buy a Jimmy Dean frozen sandwich if you want a savory breakfast. Most of the pictures online are from the wifi cafe and the cabana soaking tubs. The soak was great... But you can book this without being an overnight guest. You are told that the cabana is very private, but you can see from my photos that one of them was directly up and across from our room. We could hear everything... We wore bathing suits.

My cousin and I spent over $400 for two soaking cabanas after reading the glowing reviews. Here is what you get for the inflated bucks: a totally self-serve bath in a tree house you have to hike to. That is disclosed. And it is a steep hike and took me longer than the five minutes they said it would take. The pretty pictures are misleading. Minimal products - although good. Dirty loungers. A really uncomfortable plain old bathtub, not even jetted. AND, contrary to the advertising photos, No champagne, sorry. And nobody around on the property to even ask. This place is like a ghost town. Even if you wanted to buy their spa products, there is nobody there! Really weird. The place is a bit dated and run down. I would not recommend it.

Stayed 3 nights with cousins for a little getaway. I have heard great things about this place for years and live about 80 miles away so I was excited they finally had some open rooms. We stayed in a 2 room “suite” which was actually the bottom of another 2 room suite, so we were in the basement. Our place was right off the main road and it was not quiet by any means. And the outside area had only bar stools with a deck size table so really no chance to hang outside since it rained on and off with no cover. The folks above us had a nice covered porch and I’m sure we paid the same price. More lighting in the unit would have been nice as well. Had to move lights around in order to see the dinner table. Kitchenette was ok and served it’s purpose. What they do not tell you is if you need spices or anything extra for your cooking needs there is a great shelf with all kinds of things next to the ice machine. Would have been nice to have a sign in the room stating that. Initially the website was offering $100 off a soak with a 3 night booking, but when I had a chance to look into booking a soak the deal disappeared and was replaced with a limited time frame which did not include July. Both me and my cousin were aware of the initial deal. With that happening we decided not to book any soaks for the three of us. This is also NOT a spa. Apparently just a “spa” like atmosphere. I did receive a text that there would be a massage therapist onsite one day we were there but it was kind of last minute and not very appealing with the soak situation. A/C means window units and we had no fans and only 2 small window units. For 3 ladies in their 50’s. They were running the entire time in order to keep the place cool enough for us to sleep. Bring hangers! 2 closets, no hangers. Mostly wanted them to hang up swim suits and towels. The only means of communication was via text. I had no cell service at all, which was fantastic for my getaway, but not good if the place only communicates through text. We were interested in paying cash for part of our stay but they only take venmo or credit card due to no staff on site. Pool is ok, out of date and wall prevents seeing beautiful view while in pool. Overall it was nice. Just disappointing for someone who has heard great things. They use to offer wine in the afternoons, yoga and more. No more… Place looked a little run down for the price. On another note, my cousins and I had a great time catching up and playing cards even though the couch was sunken in and old. We definitely had many laughs!
