If you're looking for a place to relax and chill.. This is the place.. it's not a 5 star but it does the job at a decent price. My favorite spot was out back. If you smoke, it has a great smoking spot on a little river. With picnic tables and grills. So peaceful 💜 The owners are very nice. I had booked two rooms by accident.. I only needed one.. the owners where gracious enough to cancel one of those rooms at no extra charge to me. Great spot close to Cherokee.. I love the history of Bryson city. I'll stay again!

Here's a list of what the room was like: 1. There were live roaches behind the fridge, one on the ceiling and one on the wall. 2. You could not operate the fridge, microwave and TV at the same time; all on one long power bar. 3. Curtain was not opaque, so all the lights outside shined in throughout the night. 4. Back windowsill was filthy, covered in dirt. 5. Our room was not cleaned for our second night's stay. 6. The shower curtain rod had broken. But, instead of removing it, another one was stuck in below it, so the shower curtain hung on the ground. 7. The AC fan had foam stuffed between the levers. 8. Poor internet connection. 9. Carpet looked very old. 10. Chairs were as hard as rocks. 11. We had to give our driver's license to the receptionist, which is common, but she took down all sorts of information off it and entered it in her computer. That scared us. Usually, the license is given just to verify the name on the credit card. This is an old hotel with small rooms that could be lovely if remodeled, but it is worn out and dirty. The bed was just ok, and the one good thing that can be said is that the microwave looked new.

If your looking for a 5 star resort this isn't it but if looking for a nice relaxing weekend getaway, this is the place. Halfway between Bryson City and Cherokee it's perfect for the Great Smoky Mountain Train Ride and a day of sightseeing and shopping in Cherokee. Had 2 connecting rooms which was devided by a small bathroom and a full kitchen that ran the full length of the rooms on the backside. Beds were super comfortable and nice flatscreen TVs. Chairs and carpet needed cleaning as they were stained but was only in the rooms at night. Comforting river flows behind the property with grills and picnic tables...very relaxing. Price was excellent compared to what we were quoted in Cherokee for 2 nights on Labor Day Weekend. Nice, clean pool which is what the grandkids enjoyed the most. Would definitely stay again. On another note...we were running behind and got there late and the owner was waiting on us. I asked where a local store was to get milk for our two 2 year old grandchildren and he insisted on giving us a gallon of unopened milk and refused to be paid for it. Would you get that at The Marriott or Hampton Inn???

We moved to this hotel.after a bad experience at another place. The room was clean and owner was very nice. They had a nice pool and a pretty view of the river. If you are looking for something clean, comfortable and quiet this is the place for you.
