Nantahala River Lodge is the most beautiful "cabin in the woods" I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. From the perfect tranquil setting, literally steps from the river, to the ease of accessibility, no steep roads or driveways to negotiate, Nantahala River Lodge was perfect in every way. Although ideally located just minutes from the Nantahala Outdoor Center...

The Nantahala River Lodge is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. We stayed here in May and enjoyed fishing, relaxing in the comfy chairs by the river, and cooking in the gorgeous kitchen. The owners have thought of everything! We can't wait to go back!

Oh my goodness, this place is magnificent! My husband and I stayed for three nights in September of this year (2014). We were in awe of how beautiful this cabin and the grounds are. Huge deck overlooking the river, the property is fenced and secure. We had a table on the deck, BBQ, Picnic table, lounge chairs by the river,...

The Nantahala River Lodge is the absolutely perfect mountain retreat! My family travels extensively all over the world staying in various styles of accommodations, from private homes and cabins, tents, ranches and every luxury brand hotel out there. Our best experiences are always the ones in which the accommodation fits the surroundings and atmosphere of the given location. Of course...

We have been enjoying this spectacular, private, river retreat since we discovered it several years ago while fishing just steps away on the Nantahala River. This spacious lodge home is expertly crafted with beautiful wood and stone throughout. Even the shower walls and floors are covered with natural stone. With some personal pieces of family history, it is obvious that...

We stayed at this lodge for our first trip to the Smokies. The lodge is very nice and has everything thought of down to the last detail. The biggest appeal is the creek within a few feet of the lodge itself. It is very well taken care of and the woodwork is gorgeous. If I have any negatives it would...

This mountain retreat has it all. The location has beautiful woods, trails and the stream which makes its prescence known by its never ending streaming over rocks. Everything is there, from chairs, grills, and even a site for a campfire. The lodge is breathtaking, clean with a modern kitchen, washer & dryer, and stone covered baths. The workmanship is outstanding...

The River Lodge is truly a masterpiece. The location alone would be enough to make this home special. However, the location on the banks of this beautiful mountain stream melds perfectly with the home. The level of craftsmanship and the obvious intense dedication to finding a harmonious design combine to create the perfect mountain home.

There's only one word for this place...spectacular. The house is magnificent, the grounds are lovely, and the location is perfect, right on the river. There's a fishing hole right behind the house. The owners have thought of everything. If there's something that you wonder how to work, they've left a note with instructions. Need firewood? It's in the bucket next...
