We had such a good time! Anne was a great host. We sit and talked in front of the fire and relaxed, which is what we wanted. Breakfast was delicious and the company of the other guests made it feel like breakfast with family. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing place to stay at. I am so glad we found it. Wont stay no where but here when visiting the mountains. We found our home away from home.. Anne and her family are wonderful people. Sunrise at top of the mountain was perfect. 15 mins from boone or blowing rock and mins from blueridgeparkway. Looking forwards to our next trip up there and to stay longer. Coffee and hot tub after a long day was a perfect way to end our evening. Breakfast was wonderful. Thank you Anne looking forward to planning our next trip.

We spent 2 weeks here evacuated during hurricane Irma, and it felt like the best place to rest peacefully while we enjoyed the mountains, the Art of living retreat center, and most importantly our welcoming host. Anne's comfortable home and her warm, supportive, angelic presence as well as her magnificent, gourmet breakfasts almost made us forget the stressful situation we were otherwise facing. Our room was spacious, cozy, and comfortable, and beautifully decorated --as is the rest of the lodge and all the common areas. Aspects of Anne's artistic and creative decorative spirit live in every nook and cranny of the lodge which are an artist's delight. We enjoyed the inviting fireplace in the living room which is a wonderful place to read or play the many board games provided. We did not use the hot tub, but it looked very inviting. The patio, outdoor trails, garden and meadows also offer gorgeous views of the mountains and many tranquil spaces. Downtown Boone, ASU, and various restaurants including--Juice Boone, Kindly Kitchen, Melanie's, and Joy bistro--are a convenient 10-15 minute drive away. The Art of Living retreat center is only a couple minutes walk and has a lot to offer, too. We met many couples who did quick getaways at the CMLodge from nearby NC towns and all seemed very happy with their stay here, too. We are so happy to have discovered this idyllic B& B and know we will keep returning as often as we can.

Cozy and nice Bed & Breakfast pretty close to Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed for a night while traveling along the parkway. Very well decorated and clean rooms. Anne is a wonderful host. Art of Living Meditation Center & an Ayurvedic Spa are just a few minutes walk away for the folks inclined towards those activities. Art of Living runs a vegetarian restaurant open to the public. This is a very quiet and serene place. Perfect choice for us. Folks looking to stay close to the hustle & bustle of Boone may find that this is a little out of the way (15 minutes from downtown Boone) though.

We spent the weekend in the Boone area with our two young girls and my parents. We absolutely made the right choice by staying at Carolina Mountain Lodge! Anne is so friendly and responsive and made our stay very comfortable. Our family of four stayed in the Garden Room which was very spacious with comfortable beds (queen and two twins), and a private bathroom outside the room (this worked out great so that we could put the girls to bed earlier and not wake them when we were getting ready for bed later). My parents stayed upstairs in the Bare in the Woods room which was also very spacious. The home is large and has many different areas for lounging, both inside and outside. Our daughters loved seeing the chickens in the back yard! Just a very short walk up the street is a spectacular view from a nearby retreat that you shouldn't miss. This was our first time to the Boone area, and we all had such a wonderful time! We'll definitely stay again the next time we come back! Thank you Anne!
