My husband and I decided to just "take off" for a day in the mountains. As the day wound down it was time to look for a place to spend the night. We ended up passing this adorable old-school motel, super clean, full of thoughtful and nostalgic touches and decorations, and am I

We are return customers to Hidden Valley. First as a newly married couple, then with a group of friends and now with our children. We love that it is so quaint, clean and convenient to Sugar Mountain and surrounding ski areas. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Hidden Valley every time I stay in Boone. They have the best prices hands down compared to the other hotels in the area (the only place cheaper is the Super 8 Motel) and the rooms are always perfectly maintained and comfortable. My family has taken a few trips

Thanks Olivia R, both for being a guest and taking your time to write a review for potential guests. Our location while not in the midst of town does put us miles closer to the ski area for winter visitors and just about half way between the attractions at Grandfather Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad, hopefully convenient for most activities. Always hope guests will take a minute to visit Maxine's garden out front, maybe not a lot to show in winter, but warm weather shows her years of love for the garden and that view you mention of the mountains. As the resident handyman I always hope my efforts show, always our goal that guests find us up to date and comfortable. Thanks again for your review, Jim & family

Hidden Valley Motel is wonderful. The owners are happy and helpful. We loved our room - we had 3 beds and plenty of room. Our room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. The room had a cozy feel like a home. Great WiFi and friendly staff. We will stay here again. This

Are you pet friendly? Thanks.
"No pets on the premises please, that includes being left in your vehicle. You will see chipmunks or other wildlife scurrying around. You may see neighborhood pets passing through."

You can view our rooms and check availability on our website by going to the book now page and putting in your choice of dates, that should show rates for any date range. Looks like it is showing me 90.91 plus taxes per night for your date range after applying a multi night discount. You can also book on that page if desired

Sorry, don't know why this took so long to reach my mailbox. On a Saturday a room with one queen bed would be 95 on that weekend, that's the total after sales and lodging taxes. Presently on our own holiday, but will be home before your date. If you would like to reserve please call us 828-963-4372 and that will transfer to our cell, we are generally available about 9 to 9 to answer the phone. Our address is Boone, but about 5 miles to the edge of town proper and a few more miles depending on your specific destination. The university and most eating in the 7 to 9 mile range. Thanks, Jim & Maxine

Price of rooms?
Being a small mom and pop property and Maxine and I being old folks we are not set up for online bookings; that generally prevents us from working with the online travel companies that show prices online. Our rooms vary in size from one bed to three beds and the price will vary according to the size room needed or that which is still available at the time a reservation is made. At this time, July 2015, mid-week generally ranges from 57.65 (65 after tax) to 75.39 (85 after tax) and Friday/Saturday/Holiday from 84.25 (95 after tax) to 102 (115.01 after tax); note there may be some exceptions, but this will be a general guide.

No, sorry we do not accept animals, just a mom and pop operation and personal health issues prevent us from doing so. If you would like to email me direct I would be happy to suggest several properties in the area that I understand will accept pets. Thanks, Jim
