My partner and I stayed for 3 days at Chetola a little earlier this month and it was honestly one of the best experiences I have had at a hotel. The front desk staff were great, the sales manager (Mike) went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable time. Well, it worked! He gained new lifelong customers. Blowing Rock is a great quick getaway from the city, and Chetola made it even better. The grounds were lovely, Timberlake's Restaurant had great food and attentive service and even with COVID restrictions the stay was quite enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, well kept, clean and have all the necessary amenities you'd need. They are working on updating all of the rooms, and I am excited to see what things will be like in the coming years.

This is a beautiful property but not very conducive for a relaxing overnight. We had a lake view room as requested but it was loud from hallway noises. We were forced to stay in a lower floor room which was right across the hall from a conference room. Despite attempting to seal our door crack with towels, the noise level was very loud at bedtime, and again in the early morning. There shouldn't be any guest rooms near this area. Upon checkout, I expected to be able to express my displeasure but the person behind the desk never asked about my stay or mentioned any type of thank you. I thought this was very impersonal and left with a sour taste in my mouth.

Y37Zlkevinj, We appreciate your honest feedback and truly apologize for not meeting and exceeding your expectations during your recent visit. Last year, we renovated the first floor rooms by adding hardwood floors and updating all furnishings and decor. The conferences have strict time constraints to be able to provide our guests with a pleasant and quiet experience. We would appreciate any additional information about your stay so that we are able to make the necessary changes to our offerings. Please contact us at guestservices@chetola.com. We hope that we are able to serve you again in the future so that we can provide you with the best possible mountain getaway experience. Kind regards, PJ Wirchansky Director of Sales & Marketing

Beautiful setting, and convenient to the village of Blowing Rock (though it's a good mile to walk into town), the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Boone. COVID precautions were thorough and well-organized, and the room was clean. Climate control was a little off, but not a major deal; just loud. Very helpful front desk, quiet guests, the indoor pool is beautiful, and the restaurant has a nice deck with a fire pit that overlooks the lake (cue the swans!).

For a family visit, having the option to book into a 3 bedroom townhouse was perfect! It was the perfect home away from home. The Resort is quite large, consider that when choosing the condo location. The Main lodge has a very good restaurant, indoor heated pool, small but well equipped fitness center, and access to hiking trails. It's a bit of a walk to town but doable in good weather. make sure you visit the namesake, Blowing Rock, the views are amazing!
